There is also a half-bath on the first floor. Feel free to make use of the rest of the house, including the living room, formal dining room, kitchen and laundry. In the warmer months, relax in the backyard, enjoy a cool drink on the patio or take an afternoon nap in the hammock. I share my home with a shy and gentle Corgi named Henry.

Caroline was easy to communicate and we enjoyed meeting her briefly (as we had to get out the door to catch a concert). Her place is very lovely and well located in the center of Elmwood village. It is within easy walking distance of everything you need from restaurants, coffee shops, a bakery, Lexington market, and lots of unique shopping (we went to few of these and a great spice store). The bed was comfortable and the breakfast she had left for us was wonderful with fresh fruit, coffee, bagels, yogurt and granola. Thanks! I'd definitely stay again and hope to have more time to chat with Caroline!
Its called "The Heart of Elmwood Village," but that really doesn't speak to the locale so much as to the host. Yes Caroline's house is quite lovely, with magnificent amenities (and Henry is hilarious)... but the true heart of Elmwood Village is Caroline.
She's a genuine mensch in every sense of the word; engaging, a marvelous sense of humor and knows just how to do it right with guests.
I can't say enough about the kindness and courtesy I was shown. Combine that with the comfort of the place and yes, the locale (a neighborhood near and dear to my heart), and you've got just one heck
of a place.
I would happily return here and perhaps next time it'll be more of a leisure trip as opposed to a family emergency. I can then take better advantage of the wonderful amenities. So, you want a nice place
with a nice person? This is the place. It and she are The Heart of Elmwood Village.
Caroline was an exceptional host. Her house is beautiful and very comfortable. We were sorry that we could only stay one night. She welcomed us upon arrival and gave us a tour of the house that we were free to us. The house is located only two blocks from the Elmwood Village which had many restaurants to choose from. Henry, her dog, is darling. The breakfast was outstanding. If we ever travel to Buffalo again, we will stay with Caroline again. Sandy and Guido
Coraline's house is awesome. Beautifully decorated. and very comfortable. The picture does not do the room justice. It is very comfy especially the pillows on the bed. She made great coffee for the morning. Her backyard is wonderful. A great stay all around. We used her wonderful kitchen in the evening to prepare a meal. She truly made us feel right at home.Patricia Miami FL.
We loved our 3 nights at Caroline's B&B. She is welcoming and easily shares her lovely home. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed the back patio. We felt like we had a home away from home.
A wonderful home for a few days in Buffalo. From breakfast onward, Caroline makes it seem like you're just visiting your Upstate NY relatives. Had a very relaxing stay in a place that came better than advertised, no bad surprises to mention, and next time I'll take advantage (well, more so) of her area knowledge and tourist tips -- was there for a wedding, so didn't have as much time as I'd like. If you're there during any kind of nice weather, the yard is a perfect reading/coffee/nap spot. Of course, the key to Elmwood Village becoming your permanent Buffalo spot is whether or not his highness the house-dog Henry accepts you as his guest. I suggest a bribe of a blueberry or two. Or three. Long story short, book Caroline and Henry's with no worries...I certainly will next trip!
