It would be my great pleasure to be your host.
As a weary traveler dealing with severe weather in February 2014 which caused one delay after another, (along with several changes in arrival and departure plans), Caroline most graciously accommodated all of these dilemmas.
Although there's no place like home, staying with her and her dog, Henry, in such a beautiful quiet home, located in a great neighborhood, made my journey peaceful.
Caroline's kindness knows no boundaries and I felt blessed to be there. All I can say is: THANK YOU Caroline!
Caroline is the perfect host! Not only is she friendly and hospitable in every way, her home is immaculate, her location is convenient and her town is very fun. She cooked us breakfast both days there. Her dog was also an added bonus! Her knowledge of the area and the falls was very helpful also!
I couldn't have had a better airbnb experience with Caroline! Her house was in the perfect location and I felt extremely welcome. Her home is definitely the best kept secret in Buffalo. Thanks again for your hospitality, hope to visit again soon!
Caroline has many positive reviews for a very good reason. This was our first Airbnb experience when we decided to attend the Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert in Buffalo and stay overnight. Even though we left the reservation until the day before we had a prompt response from Caroline. Much to our surprise she informed us that she was having friends in for dinner and invited us to join the group. Although a dinner party is not the norm or to be expected for every stay, this act of hospitality displays the kindness and generosity of this host and reinforces the reason why she has so many other positive reviews. After the afternoon concert we arrived at the Heart of Elmwood Village around 6ish and were warmly greeted. Within minutes we had a glass of wine in hand and were socializing with eight or nine of Caroline’s neighbors and close friends. The salmon dinner was yummy and the neighbors were warm, engaging and friendly. Neighbor Reba was especially funny and memorable (her favorite cat name – Stirfry!!!). Caroline’s home is full of interesting art and is most tastefully appointed and decorated. The bed was very comfortable. In the morning we got to visit with Caroline over breakfast and found her to be warm, friendly and thoughtful. Although the initial reason we went to Buffalo was for the TSO concert, the memory that will stick with us for years to come is our Elmwood experience with Caroline. We hope to return sometime and recommend Caroline most highly.
Caroline was a wonderful host for our first airbnb stay. From her beautiful home to the extra blankets and fresh, hot breakfast, every detail led to a comfortable and unique experience.
Caroline was a fantastic host. Her house is beautiful and she was extremely generous and courteous. There was even (delicious) homemade granola waiting in the morning. I can't recommend her highly enough!
Dont even hesitate, book your stay with Caroline. She knows the city quite well. The house is large and spacious, very tastefully decorated. You will feel like you are staying with family.
Nice room, nice host, best choice!
Thank you very much. It was a great stay.
From start to finish, my husband and I couldn't have had a better experience. Caroline provided very helpful information in advance and was more than accommodating upon our arrival. Her home is beautifully appointed, gracious and welcoming: just as described, a sanctuary. Since we visited during her work week, Caroline provided excellent ingredients for us to "forage" breakfast for ourselves. (Delicious breads, Scottish oats, Greek yogurt, fresh fruit, and superb coffee.) Henry the Corgi was a sweet substitute for our dogs, whom we'd had to leave at home. The neighborhood is charming and just a couple blocks from restaurants, shops, and more. We especially appreciated Caroline's suggestions--one (The Blue Monk) led us to the best meal we've had in a long time. If ever you're headed to Buffalo, the "Heart of Elmwood Village" is a highly recommended destination.
