An idyllic top floor oasis in one of the coolest Brooklyn neighborhoods. Huge layout, sunlight pouring in, and a very homey vibe. Enjoy roof access, an amazing view of Manhattan, and a fully equipped kitchen.
The super sunny living room with lots of seating. The table expands into a full dining room beauty and the couch folds down to sleep two.
Welcome to Greenpoint! One of the coolest neighborhoods in New York City.

The flat has windows on three sides, a fully-equipped and brand new kitchen, queen sized bed with feather duvet, separate office and dressing room, huge lovely living room with a big comfortable couch, and a rooftop with the most amazing views of the Manhattan skyline you can get from Brooklyn.

You are two blocks from the G subway train, or a quick 10-minute walk to the Bedford L subway stop, in the heart of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. From there, it's one very quick stop to Manhattan.
Lots of adorable and hip restaurants and bars in the neighborhood. You're steps to the waterfront, two parks, and there's a grocery store across the street.

The G train is 1 block from the apartment, and the L train at Bedford is about a 10 minute walk away. Lots of busses will also give you options.

Truly a fantastic weekend getaway! Alana's place was comfortable and well appointed. The location was perfect for bumbling around Brooklyn. Highlighted by the sunset view of Manhattan and pickle soup around the corner at Karczma, oh and the wood fired pizza we enjoyed from Fornino's. I will be recommending this place for anyone visiting NYC.
We stayed 10 days in Alana's place, and we absolutely loved it! It is decorated with great taste and has a fantastic view on the skyline. The apartment was close from the different trains and buses, easy to get to Manhattan and other parts from Brooklyn. Greenpoint is definitaly the best spot to stay!
Alana was very easy to communicate with and gave very nice addresses for shopping, food markets, etc. in the neighborhood.
We would definitely recommend this place!
Super cute apartment - just as pictured. Alana has great style and her place has unique character! Love all the succulents, mid-century modern furniture and southwest flavor. My sister and I enjoyed the fabulous views from inside the apt and up on the roof both during the day and at night. We weren't able to meet Alana in person, but she was very responsive to our communications, flexible with check-in time and it was easy to get the keys she left for us from the deli. Greenpoint was a nice home base for our few days in NYC - spending time both in Brooklyn and Manhattan. Alana's place is a quick walk to the G line and also to the East River Ferry (which was one of the highlights of the trip instead of going underground to travel)! Yes, the stairs are rough with big suitcases, it is a bit noisy with traffic below, and the only curtains we missed were ones in the bathroom...but we were prepared for that from the other reviews. Easy enough to do clean-up ourselves instead of having to pay a cleaning fee! Enjoyed several restaurants and coffee shops within a block or two of the intersection. A lovely stay overall, making our trip all the more special.
We just stayed for 9 nights at Alana's appartment and we loved it! It's really perfectly located to escape the Manhattan crowds and to explore Greenpoint, W'burg and the rest of Brooklyn. Greenpoint Avenue (G train) is easily accessible within a few minutes while the L train (Bedford Av) is a 10-15 minute walk, but brings you to Manhattan quickly. East River Ferry is also close by (brings you to downtown Brooklyn, Midtown, or Wall Street).
The appartment itself is really beautiful, spotless and well equipped. Views from the living room and from the roof top are just gorgeous! Lots of supermarkets and eateries next door. Curtains in the bedroom would be a plus and as in many NYC places it can get a bit noisy at night at least sometimes (as it is directly located at Manhattan Avenue), so bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. However, we had a good night's sleep during our stay.
Alana was very fast in responding to 2-3 questions that occured before and during our stay and we really felt welcomed. We would love to stay there again and can recommend this appartment to anyone interested in this area!
Alana's pad is fantastic. The Greenpoint location offers a perfect slice of Brooklyn living, and you're just minutes away from trendy Williamsburg. Plus, getting into the city is a breeze, especially if you walk an extra 10 minutes and hop on the L.
Alana was perfectly accommodating and quick to respond to the few questions we had. 10/10 would stay again in a heartbeat!
Alana's Greenpoint apartment was lovely, clean and convenient. Despite the G line being under construction during our stay, the Shuttle bus was an easy alternative. Alana left suggestions for loads of good little restaurants & Cafés in the neighborhood. She was also very prompt in answering our questions. The apartment is very tastefully decorated - livable and comfortable. The bed was good too. Because there are no doors between any of the rooms, it's a very nice, open space. It was hot during our stay, AUGUST, and she left us a fan. Most every evening we went up onto the roof to catch a breeze and enjoy the remarkable view of Manhattan. I would give this apartment 5 Stars except for the noise at night- beyond Alana's control. If you aren't used to street noise from a major street and you need to keep the windows open at night because of the heat, expect it to be be loud, but, come on, it's Brooklyn.
Alana's place was beautiful -- exactly as represented in the listing photos. Great taste, and impeccably clean and tidy. Good for our very active and curious 1 year old, as there wasn't very much for him to get into. The kitchen was very well stocked and there is a grocery store right next door.
The location is very convenient, right between two metro stops, on the main strip of Greenpoint. Just a short walk north to great shops and restaurants of Greenpoint, or south to the same in Williamsburg. Alana also provided lots of suggestions for eating and shopping, and maps of the area.
Communication with Alana was a breeze. We never met her, but texts and emails were returned within minutes. Super friendly and accommodating.
The only down side to an otherwise perfect stay was the lack of AC during a heat wave in NY. The windows had to be kept open at all times, so the noise from the street below was a bit disruptive for our son's sleep. Would have been fine for us with earplugs, but we had to settle him back to sleep a few times. I would also note the lack of screens on the windows (dangerous if your child is a little older and into climbing), as well as the lack of curtains for privacy -- especially in the bathroom. We were also happy that we brought a lighter umbrella stroller, as the 4th floor walk-up would have been impossible with a big stroller and a toddler :)
Otherwise, we had a really lovely stay, and would recommend Alana's place to friends. Thanks for opening your home to us!
I'm run an interactive creative agency in Brooklyn called Radish Lab. I'm digital journalist and producer who hails from Canada.
I like to obsess over my next great meal, design project, and travel adventure.
I have successfully kept 2 house plants alive for a very long time.
I wish I had more time to read all the New Yorkers in my apartment.
Hopefully you'll enjoy those :)
