About this listing

The space

Situated in a Roman country estate, this establishment is an ideal solution for those who would like to both visit the city of Rome and get away to a peaceful and silent locale.

Our rooms, all with private bath, offer as standard furnishings a queen size bed, wardrobe, desk, nighstands and TV. Additionally, all the rooms have air conditioning and free wi-fi. Three of the six rooms, larger and therefore a bit more expensive, are equipped with ample-sized sofabeds, useful if one has children and prefers to book a single room.

Rome is easy to get, with an expressway a few minutes away or via regional bus to train-subway-city buses.

Where to begin? Overall an excellent experience! Bruno was a great host - very nice and hospitable. He went far above and beyond to make sure that we had everything we needed - taking time out his day to make sure we understood the public transit system into the city. We were travelling with a group of school kids and we rented the entire B&B for the week - it turned out to be a great choice. The kids loved the place and also loved the chance to prepare/plan meals using the kitchen upstairs. The dining area was large enough to easily accommodate our group as well. For guests with disabilities, there are sections of the B&B that are easily accessible such as the rooms and patios. The main dining room has two steps down into it but otherwise it is flat. The kitchen is up a set of narrow stairs so that would be the real difficulty for some disabled folks. Regarding transporation, a car would be more convenient for guests but it is possible to get into the city using a regional bus to Saxa Ruba or Prima Porto stations and then get on the metro from there. There is a supermarket down the road about 3/4 a kilometer that is easy to walk to and carries everything needed for cooking. Once again I'd just like to highlight what a treasure Bruno turned out to be for our group. The kids appreciated him and his help and so did the adults. We are VERY glad we made the decision to stay at Bruno's "Slow Rome" B&B and recommend it to others looking for a place to stay and unwind.

Great place. Bruno went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, he even picked us up at midnight when we were lost. The rooms themselves are nice and the property is beautiful.

Bruno was always available, helpful and generous with his time and advise from the moment he accepted our booking to the moment we left. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return in the future.

Bruno was a great host. Always available to assist with anything we needed. One of our kids left a blanket and Bruno found it and shipped it to us. He truly went above and beyond.

Bruno was an excellent host and did his best to make us feel as comfortable as we can. We enjoyed staying in his place and it was very quiet and aesthetically appealing. We will recommend his place to our friends without hesitation.

Bruno was very welcoming, made sure we had a comfortable stay. Rooms were spotless, including the bathrooms, the pool was a delight in a hot summer day in Rome. My family and I loved staying in Castelnuovo di Porto!!!

Nice place outside busy Rome! We spent 4 nights with 2 adults and 2 children in one of the larger rooms. It was very spacious and clean. There is a good wifi-connection and the airco was very pleasant. Bruno gave us good advice for how to get into Rome (about 25 min) and for where to eat. The woman who took care of the breakfast doesn't speak english but she was extremely friendly. The Italian breakfast is not what we're used to in the Netherlands but that was the only 'minus' I can tell. We can recommend everybody who wants to go to Rome for a couple of days to stay here. Great value for money!
