For those who know the wonderful beaches of the South of Sardinia, they won’t be surprised by the natural beauty of this place: fine sands, crystal clear sea and sand dunes.
This beautiful summer villa is perfect for a relaxing family holiday and it’s located just few steps from the sea. Say farewell to clothes and cars… hello: sea, sunshine &swimwear!
The house sleeps up to 6 people plus 1 on the sofa bed if required. Features include two bedrooms, one double with en suite and a second bedroom containing bunk beds. A separate bathroom can be found down the corridor.
The living room has a nice television with digital channels, together with the comfortable sofa bed. The small kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel 4 ringed hob, coffee machine, microwave, fridge and little compartments on the top; complete with dishes, glasses and cutlery.
The indoor has a table with benches to eat round although you will probably prefer to eat outside overlooking the nice green garden with a sea view; a stonework barbeque, an outdoor shower and air conditioning will ease the heat in the afternoons if required.
A washing machine and a safe are also available and sheets and towels can be rented on request where necessary.
The villa is located opposite “Serpentara’s Island”, a protected Marine Park, where you can join guided dives discovering the depths of the underwater park. You will also have the opportunity to rent a dinghy from the beach in order to visit the beautiful coastline, scattered with coves and inlets.
A few minutes drive away from the village to the nearby Coast of Villasimius and Costa Rei you will be able to find a wide choice of entertainment such as: bars, pizza places, cinema, disco and markets. What more could you ask for?
Cala Pira, what a beautiful place….! Nice sandy beach, just few steps forward this quiet lovely house we rent for two weeks.
Just see the pictures to know that all you need is here. Outdoor kitchen and shower, several outside saloon (lounge) or dining area giving you a real sense of well-being.
Just to know that in the area of Cala-Pira, It’s useless making an Italian coffee with the running water because it’s non potable water (very bad taste), nevertheless, you can cook with it without any problem. Hot water is produced by solar energy, so, in case of cloudy day, you will find an electric water boiler in the kitchen to fill in the gaps.
Private parking, in an enclosed area.
We really enjoy our stay with our baby, and appreciate the vicinity with the beach.
We spent two very relaxing weeks in Cala Pira: the house is very comfortable and we particularly enjoyed the outside areas (in fact we lived outdoors, only going inside to sleep!). The beach is a very short walk away and is simply beautiful, keeping its charme even in August, at peak time.
The kitchen is small but very well equipped (kitchen robot, immersion blender, even a pressure cooker!).
The short walk is ok even for small children, and so is the beach, with very calm waters.
You definitely need a car, as the "village" is really only a group of houses: the closest shop is a small supermarket 8 min drive away. The closest decent-sized town is Villasimius, which is 15 min drive away in the other direction, with some shops and restaurants.
Electricity charges are not included in the price, which is unusual, but we were informed before booking and they were not that high: 55 EUR for two weeks, with a fairly intensive use of the washing machine (3 children!) and the air conditioning on every evening for a couple of hours.
Do ignore the map on this site: the house is in fact right on Cala Pira's beach and not in Villasimius.
If you're looking for a quiet retreat, Cala Pira is ideal. With a beautiful beach just 30 seconds walk away the location is perfect. The accommodation is traditional but more than adequate and the gardens and BBQ area are fantastic.
We received a very warm welcome from Laura and her family and they were more than happy to help with any questions that we had. They really wanted us to enjoy our holiday.
You will definitely need a car and in the nearby resort of Costa Rei there are some good restaurants and a supermarket on the way there.
