  • We (couple and two kids) had a very pleasant stay at Nancys appartment. It is a very nice appartment, in a nice area and Nancy is very welcoming. When we are in the region we will definately come back. thanks Nancy!

  • Staying with Nancy is the perfect way to see Sète, considering she knows it like the back of her hand. Her apartment was also beautiful and in a fantastic location. It was really nice to have a lovely kitchen to prepare food in, something that you don't often get on a short vacation. My room was clean and the bed was really comfortable. I spent my mornings and afternoons out, but I was able to come back to the apartment to eat lunch because it was so close to many markets, museums and nice walks. I also was there for Halloween, and Nancy kindly invited me to her Halloween party, which had some really good food and good people. Thanks so much for everything, Nancy!

  • Well, the place is nice and cosy. And Nancy is a sweet woman though she doens't like tobacco and don't forget to remind you...
Also one should know there is only one bathroom in the apartment
The only real issue was the noise we could hear from the room (probably some kind of bar or club nearby, that plays daily and unfortunately pretty late and loud)
Apart from this, I would easily recommend this place

  • Absolutely gorgeous apartment.

  • For american travelers, a gps is a must have,
with Nancy's directions was super easy to find the building, location was great, the views where beautifull, apartment was clean, Nancy was way beyond great hostest...
she gave as a true French experience! Have some wine, some region finger food, and, great guidence. It was like arriving to a relative home.

NB: the apartment is as pictures show, the building is off course very old, and you could see the aging on the walls, main door and staircase.
The 2 cats were gorgeous and calm.

  • This was an amazing place to stay. Sete is definitely the hidden gem of the French Mediterranean. Thankfully the tourists haven't found it yet so it was full of authentic charm. We loved it so much that we stayed an extra night. The view is exactly as the picture, she lives right on the canal with big windows and a balcony to enjoy the view. The apartment was big and lovely with the first good bed we've had in a while. The train station is about a 6 min walk away and we took a day trip into Montpellier which we enjoyed very much, a short trip on the train. Nancy is an excellent host, native English speaker and is involved in the tourist industry so she has a wealth of information about the south of France. Next time I'm in France I hope I can stay with Nancy again and would certainly point any of my family her direction as well.

  • We didn't know anything about Sete before we drove into this small town and felt we had hit the jackpot when we arrived at Nancy's apartment looking over the canal. The view is fabulous. We loved this and enjoyed being out on the balcony as there was always something going on. The apartment is clean, comfortable and spacious and Nancy made us welcome and shared her knowledge and tips on restaurants, markets, museums and beaches. She knows the area well and you are in a great location in Sete. Take a walk up the hill to the Musee Paul Valery set in a small garden and enjoy the art exhibitions, coffee and a good view of the area.

  • Lovely place to stay, as well as a most helpful host. Right in the centre of town, but still peaceful and quiet. We will definitely be back!

    September 2012
  • Nancy's apartment in Sete is fantastically located overlooking the canal near the centre of town. Nancy was very welcoming and kind. The flat is located in one of those grand and slightly faded old apartment blocks French towns do so well, with big rooms, lovely wooden floors, and a balcony overlooking the bustle and boats down below. The bedrooms are at the back of the apartment, with a peaceful and sunny courtyard to look out on. Everything was clean and thoughtfully laid on for us, and Nancy seemed very relaxed about having us to stay.
    A few general observations:
    1. Nancy has two beautiful, but furry cats. If you are allergic to cats, you might want to consider this!
    2. One of the two bedrooms has no natural light (no window). It is a big and comfortable room, but this might bother some people.
    3. The living room is stunning - grand, and with fabulous views over the canal.
    4. We all agreed that the experience of staying there was far preferable to staying in a hotel - we felt like we'd had a taste of Mediterranean living that no hotel could have provided.
