Check In
  • The night we spent at Matteo's bnb was very nice! It was perfect and simple to stop for just one night on our way to Croatia. Even if it's not directly downtown it's very easy to access with the bus from the train station. Very clean, nice beds, correct breakfast.
I would return to Matteo's place if I go to Trieste!

  • Matteo was a helpful and friendly host. Communication is very good and the house is clean and tidy.
Breakfast was simple (supermarket bread and jams with tea/coffee).
The apartment is situated up a hill so it's definitely smart to have a car or to take the public transport to go from there to town and the other way around. Takes about 15 minutes.
    Why 3 stars?
The beds were not very comfortable. After 2 nights the 3 of us felt not very rested due to the bad mattresses.
Apart from that I recommend Matteo's apartment.

  • We booked both rooms at Dell'Acqua 23 so had the whole house to ourselves. Our two girls and their grandmother had the attic room, we had the 1st floor room next to the bathroom, and on the ground floor there is a second toilet and a large breakfast room (with supplies for toast and coffee). Matteo stays in a smaller building across the courtyard and was available to help out with advice and info (in both english and italian). The house is kept immaculately clean and there are air conditioning units in each bedroom. There is a great view down to the port of Trieste. Matteo pointed us to a good local Osteria for dinner. As a stopover location on our way to croatia it was exactly what we needed - comfortable, very reasonably priced, internal parking, and only 5 minutes from the highway.

  • We were very nicely and professionally greeted by Matteo, and his very large loft apartment was perfect for the four of us. The heat wave was well cared for thanks to the air conditioner and the house is modernly built and exceptionally clean. He had lots of travel information and details about local attractions and our trip continuation. His kitchen is large and stocked with anything you may need for a healthy breakfast. A full 100% thumbs up!

  • Matteo's place is very comfortable and cozy. We had a wonderful time in his appartment and an amazing view over Triest. The bus station is a 5-10 minutes footwalk away and the bus takes around 10-15 minutes to the city centre. It's really easy to get there and the bus runs regularly. We got to know Matteo and even his father who are both very friendly. They are always open for a chat and help you whenever they can. Thank you, Matteo!
