Interaction with Guests
We live at house full time ( 2 people) with our dog and cat. I work from home too. We are very respectful of privacy of our guests. Even though we will share upstairs restroom, we also have downstairs powder room.
Our neighborhood is wonderful and walking distance to a newly renovated Burlingame Ave where new restaurants are popping up, + a vast array shops, boutiques and coffee houses.
Caltrain heads North to San Francisco, & South to San Jose, Silicon Valley. The station is 2 blocks from our home. BART station is a 5 minute drive, or simply hop on Caltrain to BART to take you to most of the beautiful Bay Area.
Other Things to Note
You are greeted in the morning with a selection of fresh fruit, yogurt, granola assorted cereal, teas, coffee. Homemade breads or muffins with sweet butter and jam too.
Let's start with respect. We love our home and it is furnished with love and with lovely 'anthropologie' type furnishings, so please be considerate. We can also supply a cleaning crew for additional $, in which we are happy to set up.
We have the home professional cleaned with every new booking. Kindly leave the home the way you received it. Thanks for your consideration. Also, PLEASE, PLEASE kindly pick up after your pooches! I want to continue offering our home for humans and animals, however, we have had some problems with folks forgetting to clean up after their pets. We are huge pet lovers, we just don't want our other 'non pet' guests smelling anything other than our 'clean smelling' home:).
I've never stayed in an airbnb before, but this was a really positive experience. Everything was very laid back, and Lisa was very welcoming. Breakfast every morning was great, and the bed was super comfy. The neighborhood is definitely very safe and makes you feel right at home.
Lisa's house is charming and very comfortable. She provided everything I could possibly need, including a great cup of coffee and to go breakfast at 5:30 in the morning. She is just a few minutes from the airport, so this is the place to stay if you're flying out early. Thanks Lisa!
Beautiful home in a charming neighborhood! Close walking distance to downtown Burlingame, and a very short Uber ride to SFO! Lisa was a phenomenal hostess, and it was a pleasure staying in her home. Her home has lots of character and is beautifully decorated. I highly recommend staying here (and I hope to again myself!).
Lisa was very welcoming. This place is clean and the bed is comfortable. this is a great location for the airpot
Lisa was so nice. Her place is super cool and clean. We arrived late and she stayed up to wait for us. We didn't get to stay long (just for the night), but she had breakfast ready for us to take with us as we headed out to the airport.
Lisa is very nice and helpful. Lisa make me feel like I am going back home, and we also had a really nice chat. This was my first time using Airbnb, and this experience makes me love it.
Lisa's house is very well decorated, and the bed is super soft. I love the breakfast muffin, it tastes really good.
I've lived there for 3days, 2nights. I've always want to meet her, but never have a chance. She's nice, but the furniture there are kinda old, and there's Mosquitos in my bedroom, and there will have trains horn sound in the morning, kinda annoying. And it's really cold during the night. I live at second floor, I share the bathroom with her daughter, and other travelers, which I really don't like. Before I arrived she said there will be no travelers, however, the night before I left, there's a guy live at the second floor and share the bathroom with me. Yes, she's nice, and she prepared breakfast and coffee, however, I have to tell how I really felt about the trip there.
I like to think of our home as 'eclectic with vintage French antiques', as I have been told, most folks enjoy the homey, atmospheric feeling they feel once they arrive, however, it's not the 'W' hotel ( as the price reflects:).
Regarding the mosquito in the bedroom, well, what can I say, I haven't learned how to train those pesky bugs to leave the room on command...I did suggest the usual swatting with a towel, magazine, then shut the window, although I was told by my daughter it was actually a mosquito hawk, which eat those nasty bugs....oh well...Cold bedroom, there are two down comforters on bed, plus another blanket on the shelf, also, a heater was placed outside Fiona's room to use, which apparently she choose not to utilize.
Sharing the bathroom: Yes, guests share the bathrooms ( as clearly stated in my description), plus another bathroom downstairs is available.
Another traveler did rent the other room after Fiona booked. However, if you wanted the entire place to yourself, it's $500.00 a night to book the entire home.
Train....yes, it's clearly stated I live less than two blocks away from CalTrain, most folks love the convenience of being within walking distance to the train. Yes, it does blow it's horn until 10PM each night. Sorry, I should have given you earplugs.
May I suggest reading all the pertinent information on the host's description of the property so you are clear on what you are renting.
And again, this is not a hotel, just a 100 year old farm house that has become a wonderful airbnb business.
So sorry it didn't meet with your expectations.

I love to entertain, it's how I have made a living for the last couple of decades. Our home is very relaxed, easy going & busy too! I love all that family involves; laughter of kids, warm smells of housebaked desserts, animals underfoot & about, wonderful conversation & of course, quiet time with a book that's been calling my name, for ahem, months to read:).
