Great home and awesome host. Thanks for the hospitality!
Very accommodating. Nice guy, nice place, nice location (quiet neighborhood just outside of Portland). The space itself has a very warm and comfortable charm. Thanks John!
John helped us out on the very fly which was amazing. He went above and beyond. He was so accommodating and his house was beautiful. Thank you John!
I really enjoyed meeting John and staying in his beautiful home. He was a very accommadating and sweey host.
The home is spacious and affordable. That's the good part.
There were plenty of downsides though. The architecture is cramped and dark. A lot of stuff around the house, further made it feel cramped. (including a huge 6' buddha statue).
The internet was barely a trickle. This was because the wifi router is kept in the basement. Consequently, the internet was only accessible in a small part of the kitchen.
There was a dishwasher and other reasonably modern home accessories.
Very unusual observation Kyle. Cramped? There is nothing lying around, the house is considered spacious by most people who visit, and the 6 foot Buddha statue is a treasure worth thousands of dollars, one of the few in this country, from a temple in Cambodia.
The ceilings are 8 feet high, and there are walls filled with windows in each room. Your bedroom had 3 windows in it. Maybe Portland weather is just too dark for your liking.
As far as the wifi, i stopped everything to take care of that issue as soon as it occurred. Your knowledge of computers was very helpful. I was on the phone with Comcast for an hour, and ordered a new updated router to take care of the issue. I was guaranteed that it will cover the whole house. Sorry it occurred while you were here, There's never been a complaint before.
I don't know how many airbnb locations you have stayed at. I have stayed at dozens around the world. I have learned a ton about what it takes to provide a comfortable and clean house. Sorry your experience wasn't as stellar as i would have hoped.. I hope you find what you want in your future stays.

John is an excellent host. He welcomed us with a nice bottle of wine, towels and water bottles. He showed us around the house as soon as we got there and was always available for any questions or help. The house made our stay as a family more warm and inviting. It was fun to stay together...thanks to John !

John was the consummate host! He welcomed us with a bottle of wine, a piece of chocolate (dark!) and bottle of water on every bed. He was very easy to get in touch with about any questions. Parking is very easy in the neighborhood. The house is (email hidden)ly and dynamic part of town with incredible restaurants and vintage shopping. I would definitely recommend staying here.
