The apartment is located in Logan Square between two major bus routes along North Ave. and Armitage Ave. or it is a short 10 minute walk to the train. I have a full sized bed in a private bedroom you can call your own! This 3 bedroom is sunny & bright with an eat in kitchen, nice back porch for grilling if desired and free parking on the street! One of the largest parks in the city is only a couple of blocks away (tennis courts, soccer field, outdoor free pool, man made beach, lagoon, basketball courts, boathouse, movies in the park, puerto rican street food in food trucks, baseball diamonds, great for runners it's 2 miles around the park). We a 24 hour convenient store 1 block away (which by the way is amazing, it includes all the regulars and then all of the organic, gluten free, produce, meat, huge liquor selection, great store). Wi Fii available for free. We are a chilled awesome home, it's me and one long haired cat. I like to entertain guests or if you'd prefer to keep to yourself that's ok too. I love showing off Chicago and meeting new people so hopefully moreso often than not you will want to engage with your hosts! Love wine and good conversation. We generally smoke outside on the back porch but on the weekends it's my time to unwind so I might have some friends over late and every once in a great while, especially if it's cold, I will smoke in the kitchen. But please, if you really want to stay with me and that troubles you, just let me know and I will make it an absolute rule while you are in town for no smoking in the house!!!! :)
Staci is a warm and welcoming lady! I needed a place to stay while I looked for an apartment and work and I am so glad I was able to stay with her.
I had a very good time staying at Staci`s place.
And the metro blue line is only a few blocks away, what was perfect to go to the city.
Staci is very friendly and tactful host, furthermore she has provided a useful homemade guides. Quiet and safe neighbourhood, great location (from the O'Hare an hour the L + walk). Bed comfortable for the back. I highly recommend!
First off Staci is a sweetheart. Super nice, super accomodating, and really a great gal. Her friends are also all nice, cool, very chill and down to earth.
I hate to write anything negative about her, and to many people her place will be a fine place to stay, but if you're accustomed to a more refined and higher end living situation you likely won't feel comfortable in her space. It was reather inexpensive and that shoudl be taken into account. If one pays Motel 6 pricing they shouldn't expect to get Crown Plaza accomodations, and this is one of those instances.
She's great, but she and her friends smoke in the house, and in the kitchen which is right in front of the room you would be staying in, so if you're not a smoker I wouldn't recommend staying here. You likely aren't going to want to be spending a lot of time in the space and I preferred to shower at friends' houses rather than at hers.
Again, she is a gracious and very nice woman, but if you're a higher maintenance person who wants more upper crust accomodations you should probably look elswhere.
If you are looking for five star accommodation this is not place for you. But if you are looking for cozy and laid back atmosphere and the host with an open heart to welcome you and make you feel comfortable you should consider this place to be your home in Chicago. Place is as described and Staci is genuine and honest person who offers full hospitality of her home. She gave me good instructions how to find the place and get in to the house.I was able to help myself to all appliances like hair dryer, iron, fridge...Room is simple but clean with good bed. Neighborhood feels safe during day and evening with supermarket, restaurants, bank, Ups office and other small shops near by. During night hours you might consider taking the taxi and not to walk around but that is just for precaution following common sense. It is 15min walking distance to Blue line train station.
Staci is a fantastic host and an incredibly fun person to be around. Would recommend staying at her place wholeheartedly.
Very hands-off, just needed a place to sleep and everything was as described.

From Chicago, down to earth, up for anything, love books, music, life stuff, intellect, silly stuff, sports, laughing......just got back from spending a year in Costa Rica...that was fun. I really enjoy meeting people from other places and different walks of life. I won't burden a traveler if they just want to be in Chicago and do their own thing but if someone is up for hanging out and being a friend, I welcome it! I love this city and all it has to offer. I have a dream to travel around the world. I do this somewhat vicariously through all of my guests! The world is a big and crazy place and I want to experience all of it!
