About this listing

The space

Eric and Dympna live in a modern 3 storey beachfront guesthouse in the quaint and picturesque seaside village of Duncannon. The friendly village also has a working fishing harbour, and is built around a spectacular star shaped 16th century fort. The village has a couple of nice pubs which serve excellent food and are a great place to sit and relax after a day sightseeing.

Our uniquely situated home has 3 en-suite rooms for guests, 2 with large south facing windows giving exceptional views of the award winning beach and surrounding Waterford estuary. Your room is a very comfortable family room with an ensuite, with a double bed and two singles. This room offers a spectacular sea view out over Duncannon beach. Your stay with us also includes a hearty Irish breakfast, which will be served to you while you take in the magnificent views from our breakfast room directly overlooking the beach.

The surrounding area is renown for outstanding natural beauty and has remained unspoiled, while still easily accessible to all major routes. Duncannon is 2 hours from Dublin or 45 mins from rosslare ferryport.

My family and I spent a very enjoyable evening at Dympna's place. The lodging was very comfortable and the location couldn't be better. The town of Duncannon was lovely. We were served a delicious breakfast in the morning as well. I recommending staying there.

This is a beautiful little spot, with great drive in and out (you can easily take a car ferry to cross to Waterford, it is really convenient), and right on the beach. It is really thoughtfully put together, and Dympna was warm, direct, and friendly. I hope to return many times!

Very clean, beautiful house. Weather made the beach right outside the door extra special. Just be sure you are very hungry if you request the traditional Irish breakfast. It's a whopper.

Dympna & Eric are fantastic hosts! Their home is immediately on the beach and their Airbnb site under-estimates the loveliness of this B&B. The views are stunning :) The "trad" Irish breakfast is wonderful. They are a friendly & very accommodating couple, especially with our laundry. What a pleasant & delightful experience to meet and visit with them.

The location is great, right on the beach. Dympna was a very warm and welcoming host we had a very lovely stay wish we could have stayed longer.

Dympna and Eric welcomed us at their home with the appartments upstairs. We had the bedroom for four, and made ample use of the wonderful dining / breakfast area with the huge window directly out on the beach. We even brought dinner home and enjoyed it in private with the gorgeous view. The Irish breakfast Eric served made us start into a great new day with so many things to explore nearby! Definitely a good location for a relaxing stay!

Grascious host. Very helpful with directions. Taking a ferry to their home was a pleasant surprise. The water was calming and relaxing. Great hospitality. Another surprise was that they are near the oldest original working lighthouse in the world, which we decided to tour. They had prepared tea and cookies for our arrival. The Irish breakfast was top notch.
