Unique cultural experience on permaculture orchard and farm. Our quiet and rural cabins have many features: electricity, hammocks, fans. Free WiFi, large swimming pond, full kitchen, farm-grown food, and bikes for use. Families and pets welcome.
We are a sharing community on a self-sustainable farm 20 km. outside of Chiangmai city.
We are an international community on an Akha traditional permacultural family farm. Offering five secluded cabins tucked away in the midst of an organic orchard. Our farm is located in Doi Saket, 25km's north of Chiang Mai and is accessible via public transport. 3 meals per day are included, veg/non veg option and fresh organic coffee from our farm.
The secluded nature of this cabin lends atmosphere to a meditative tranquil setting. It is a perfect place to sit back with a good book, write letters and be creative.
Our cabin is made totally of natural materials, bamboo walls/floor/furniture, grass roof and it has electricity. Free internet is also available. Only a single mattress is pictured but we can supply another mattress for a second person.
We have a natural swimming pond, two solar hot tubs, large herbal sauna and a large cold dipping pool.
Shared bathroom and 2 toilets. There is also an open kitchen on the land available.
We grow our own seasonal teas and coffee.
Massage in your cabin is also available on request.
We have mountain bikes available for use.
Many accessible rural markets and restaurants are close by as well as a beautiful Buddhist temple which is open to all. There are a lot of local hill tribe people around that you can mingle with as well.
Chiang Mai City is only 25km's away and the main highway is 6km's away. Public transport is available from early morn to early evening.
We look forward to meeting new interesting people.
Guests have access to kitchen, and all the fresh organic food grown on the farm for free. The shower and toilet is shared. Information about permaculture is available to guests.
Interaction with Guests
We live on the farm during the week and come into town for shopping and family visits.
As remote as we are, markets and hot springs are close by. A Lahu hilltribe village is 150 meters from our farm. Temples are nearby too.
We have a couple of mountain bikes that you can use to go into town.
Respect the land. No candles or smoking inside the cabin. Happiness is a requirement!
Buti is very kind, understanding, and accommodating. I look forward to my next stay already !
Such a wonderful and unique experience! Awesome farm and awesome people...can't wait to go back:)
The stay at this farm was a special experience for us. Willow did his best to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We liked the permaculture garden and enjoyed working with other people building a new sala and a bathtub.
We miss Buti's cooking. We had different food every day. There were around 20 people there and those who liked to cook did cooking too.
There were three dogs there and our children could learn how to deal with dogs. Feeding chickens and ducks were fun. The thing they loved most was swimming in the pond in the afternoon.
The full-moon-party was great too. We miss all the people we met there.
Hoping to come back again. Thank you, Buti & Willow!
My two young kids and i stayed there for a couple of nights and it was wonderful. Buti is so amazing and warm and great with the kids! Willow is a great character full of stories and philosophy. He was passionate and readily shared his life and thoughts with us.
Every meal was delicious and vegetarian. Buti even went out of her way to grab really cool local treats for the kids! There were so many interesting people there from all over the world and there was always something interesting for the kids to do. Willow and Buti even took us to the hit sounds with them which was tons of fun!
The hut we stayed in was very clean and tucked away in a private little corner. It even had it's own hammock and sitting space! Mosquito being was provided but there were no mosquitos or bugs!
I would definitely say that staying at the farm was a highlight and my son was sooo sad when it was time to leave!
I'll definitely try to make my way over to their place again!
Sadly we never got to stay at Buti and Willow's farm as we got into an accident and needed to stay in the city. Buti was very kind and understanding while we communicated about the matter though! Hope to stay with them some day!
I was booked for three days and ended up staying two weeks.. if that's not an indication of how welcoming this place is, I'm not sure what is! Homegrown food, like minded people where you can see and experience (if you stay long enough) what authentic Thai life is like outside of the big cities! Book this peaceful get away for at least three nights, you won't regret it!
Dancing with the locals, cooking over open fires, long chats and good food. Drop everything you thought you had planned and go stay with Willow and Buti. It might just be exactly what you are looking for. It was for me.
My name is Buti, I am from the Akha Hill Tribe originally from Tibet. My family has lived in Thailand for 45 years and we bring our traditions of the natural living with agriculture. I love meeting the wonderful people in the world and sharing our culture to your favorite memories.
Come live and work with the land so the land works for us. It's quiet from the city noise but alive with
