The Space

UNIQUE location which gives you a balance between relaxation and the BUZZ of the CITY (all the facilities of city life nearby, major cultural cites, restaurants, shopping, nightlife).

I hope I can be your host and offer you a great experience staying in my home which is just a 5 minute bus ride to the City Centre.

My home is an ideal location from which to explore the city and also to rest in peaceful surroundings after a packed day of sightseeing or a late night in the city.

I am:
- Beside two landmark Dublin City Parks: The Phoenix Park (the largest enclosed park in Europe) and The Memorial Park, visited by President Obama and Queen Elizabeth during their visits.

My apartment is on two levels (i.e. upstairs /downstairs) and it:
- Overlooks the River Liffey: excellent views of the river
- Public transport is directly in front of the complex: just 5 minutes by bus to the city centre or if you prefer a nice walk just 30-40 minutes alongside the river, that's free and good for the legs :-)

Amenities include:
- Large private recently decorated double bedroom overlooking the river
- Own key to come and go as you please
- Plenty of storage (i.e. wardrobe space, drawer unit etc)
- Large desk for your laptop
- Free Wifi access
- Free Tourist Maps and Guide Books
- Shared bathroom (electric power shower)
- Towels provided
- Bed linen provided
- Hairdryer
- International Plug adapter

Major attractions a short walk away include:
- Phoenix Park (President's residence, Zoological Gardens, Bike Hire, Farmleigh House, Visitors Centre, view the deers in natural surroundings or use the soccer, cycle tracks, horse riding, cricket or running facilities)
- Visit the historic Kilmainham Gaol (one of the largest unoccupied jails in Europe)
- The Museum of Modern Art (major exhibtions held throughout the year)
- The National Museum of Ireland (Collins Barracks)

Other major attractions a 5 minute or less bus ride away:
- Trinity College (The Book of Kells)
- Art and Science Galleries
- Stephen's Green Park
- The Guiness Storehouse (visitors centre)
- Christchurch Cathedral
- Theatres, cinema, shows
- Temple Bar (the centre for nightlife in Dublin)
- Restaurants, bars and nightclubs to suit all tastes

A unique location which gives you a balance between relaxation and all the facilities of city life.

- LGBT friendly.

*** For the business traveller the Dublin Convention Centre is within easy reach ***

*** Portuguese and Spanish spoken, if needed I'm very happy to help you with your English during your stay ***

  • Liam is a wonderful person and I had a great time staying at his house. He was very friendly and helpful. He came to pick me up and drop me at the bus stop which was very kind.

Every morning there is a variety of breakfast kept on the dining table and even tho you wake up late it is still there to eat . some days I would get up at 1pm and have breakfast.

Liam apartment is very neat and clean and has a view of the river. Comfortable bed, good linen, spacious room and the best part is that the bus stop is not walking distance but crawling distance from his house. I would highly recommend Liam's apartment to every one.

Thanks a ton Liam and if you every in India, please do call me.. I would to return your hospitality !!!

  • One of the things I considered when booking Liam's apartment was the many positive reviews from his previous guests. My daughter and I enjoyed our stay with Liam very much. His apartment is clean, comfortable and in a convenient location. The bus stop is just a minute away and stops frequently. There is no need for a car. Phoenix Park is just across the street and we enjoyed exploring. Liam (email hidden) and generous with his time. He provided us a delicious breakfast each morning and gave us helpful suggestions on places of interest. I enjoyed spending time chatting with him each day. We appreciated his offer to pick us up from the bus station on our way in and he even drove us into the city early one morning in order to make an all-day tour to the Cliffs of Moher! This was really beyond our expectations! I recommend Liam and his apartment without reservation.

  • Liam (email hidden) who was mindful, helpful and a pleasure to speak with. His place is in a great location across the street from Phoenix Park and up against the river Liffey. It is just on the edge of Dublin, so I did not have to drive in the city center. Liam was very helpful when it came to where to go, what to see and more importantly, how to get there.
The first day we walked to Kilmainham Goal, the Guinness storeroom (skip it), Grafton Street and the Ha'penny bridge before heading back to Liam's place.
In the morning he had a lovely breakfast spread for us.
We took the bus into the city center the second day because the bus stop is right across the street from Liam's place. A five minute ride and another five minutes of walking and we (email hidden)am (email hidden), who will give his undivided attention if you require it, or will leave you to your own devices if so desire.

Thanks so much for your visit, the review and of course the amazing chocolates, they went down a treat :-) You were very kind to bring a gift all the way from Hawaii, it was much appreciated. I look forward to welcoming you back to Dublin at some stage in the not too distant future and also Sligo if you wish, some beautiful spots there too, a great base to explore the North East! Take care, Liam.

  • Liam (email hidden)! Very friendly, he helped us get to and from the Dublin airport. He gave us great suggestions for places to visit and even made us breakfast in the morning. His apartment was very clean and located at a beautiful location. Staying at Liam's was a great experience and I would certainly do it again if I ever come back to Dublin.

  • Liam was incredibly prompt and flexible and had a wonderful accommodation. Check in and out was smooth and Liam was so patient with us - especially given the day that we had already had. He even drove us to the train station the next day when we ventured to Killarney. Our only regret was not getting to spend more time talking to him!

    Response from Liam:

Many thanks for your visit, it was a pleasure to have you here, I enjoyed the brief time we had to chat. I hope you had a great time in Killarney, it's a beautiful spot. Come back soon to the Emerald Isle!

  • We had a wonderful visit to Dublin. You cannot go wrong staying with Liam. The flat is very clean and the room is so very comfortable. The bus stop is directly across the street, and Dublin town center is ten minutes away or less. In the morning you will find a very nice breakfast laid out for you. The best part is that Liam is also friendly and welcoming and most generous with his time. He knows lots about where to go and what to do in Dublin. And he saved us lots of grief (and money) by sorting the labyrinthine buseirann into comprehension so that we could get away to Dingle---and then hopped in his car at 8am to give us a lift to the station. This was our first Airbnb booking and it was grand. Highly recommend.

    Response from Liam:

Hi Maribeth and Dave, it was great to have you stay, I enjoyed our chats. Have a great time in Dingle and the surrounding area, it's a beautiful part of the world. Hopefully see you again in Dublin or Sligo!

  • Liam was an incredibly welcoming host. He helped us orient ourselves, provided plenty of help navigating the city, prepared an excellent breakfast and was a pleasure to get to know. The room was exactly as described. The bed was comfortable and the apartment is located in a quiet, convenient area to access the city center.
