Let's just say, everyday starts with breakfast. So when you're considering your stay here in Lafayette, remember that a first class breakfast is part of the package, **On Saturdays, when I participate in a local farmer's market I leave homemade granola, fresh fruit and yogurt. Regarding bookings on WEEKENDS I do request a minimum 2 night so either a FRIDAY-SATURDAY OR SATURDAY-SUNDAY. This tranquil space is in the heart of Lafayette, close to anything you want to see, hear, or experience in Cajun country. In a quiet older neighborhood, this centrally located apartment is attached to a home but is completely private with your own entrance and private space for up to 4 persons. There is a den, a bedroom and a bathroom. The den has a mini kitchen with a dorm sized refrigerator, a coffee pot and a small food prep area.. The den also has a fold out futon and bedding to sleep 2 additional persons. The bedroom has a queen sized bed and the bathroom is located off the bedroom. Guests must pass through the bedroom to access the bathroom. A warm savory breakfast is delivered each morning along with fruit and juice in the room. Wander the organic garden year round, maybe make a mosaic in the art studio (small additional fee) or just enjoy the peace and quiet. Cajun dancing, music and food are never far. Free internet access. Pets are welcomed as long as they are 15 pounds or less and well behaved, advance notice requested.
Happy to do Vegan if requested.
ROKU tv setup for Netflix and many other choices as well as Pandora so movies and Netflix shows are available and music to suit your tastes.

The neighborhood is great for walking and biking. I have bikes available to borrow.
Good restaurants and grocery stores with many prepared food options are less than two minutes drive. Sushi, pizza, Cajun, Mexican, deli, and many others to choose from.
Antique shops, local art galleries, movie theatres and a growing variety of local talent theatre productions are available by short drive as well.
Please note, most Saturday mornings I'm selling at the local farmer's market. A small light breakast is available to be prepared by guests in the room. ALSO during Festivals Acadiens and Festival International and Crawfish festival a 2 night minimum stay is requested.
I have an organic vegetable garden on site that you're welcome to enjoy, as well as citrus trees, blueberries and flowers.
Love walking the beautiful tree lined paths and streets in my neighborhood.

We stayed 3 nights at Leslie's apartment.
We had the chance to meet Leslie at our arrival, it was a great welcoming.
Everything is as describe and clean.
Very good breakfasts.
The only thing is that you cannot cook in the apartment.
We definitively recommend staying at Leslie's place.
The flat was really pretty and comfortable, Leslie was friendly and helpful and cooked us an amazing breakfast! Would definitely recommend.
This was such a unique and comfortable place to stay. Leslie is awesome. She is bubbly and makes you feel at home immediately. The separate apartment was very homey with so many artsy touches. The welcome bottle of wine and olive salad over cheese was so delightful after traveling all day. The bed and futon were both very comfortable, with plenty of linens to go around. The bathroom had a funky, artsy flair; which was fun to wake up to. The apartment has a small apartment size refrigerator, coffee pot with coffee and a brita water filter pitcher. The whole apartment was very clean. We were unable to enjoy the garden due to all the rain. We traveled with a 16 month old who was able to explore the apartment without us worrying about him breaking anything or getting hurt. BREAKFAST WAS AMAZING. We had eggs bendict with hollandaise, fresh fruit and fresh squeezed OJ. It was delivered to our door at the time we requested. I would highly recommend you stay here. I will come back again when I visit the area again. Thanks Leslie for opening your wonderful home.
The reservation was canceled 23 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Leslie was outside in front of her home when we arrived and greeted us with a welcoming smile. The listing was quite accurate of this small quaint property. It was perfect for our family of four. The neighborhood was quiet with occasional walkers/joggers. She delivered breakfast to us both mornings and went out of her way to make sure my kids enjoyed their breakfast as well. Leslie also gave great advice on what to see and where to eat.
Great place to stay in Lafayette. Leslie is a wonderful hostess. Her breakfasts were over the top. She is a talented creole cook. The unit was clean and cozy, great for a couple or with an additional kid. Leslie lives next door and provided excellent information about local music and food. She turned us onto the creole breakfast in Breux Bridge and the informal music jam at Vermillion. Her place is convenient and DIY decorated. Bed was comfortable and everything worked out very well. An excellent spot to stay in the Lafayette area.
My wife and mother-in-law had an awesome time staying and visiting with Leslie. The apartment was perfect! So much better than a hotel!
Native Lafayette resident who can throw down with the best of them. I've got the culinary skills and the Cajun joie de vivre that makes living in Louisiana truly an art form.
I'm a traveler with some European desinations I call home. I make gumbo for my family in Italy and Sweden and Germany. My latest most favorite enjoyment has been travel to India where I got to sit in the kitchen and watch the magic that is Indian cuisine from a home advantage point of view.
I grow a kick a** organic garden and you'll often see something from my garden on your breakfast plate.
I'm a selling artist, which means I am making part of my living from selling my art. I have work in homes in Japan, Germany, Italy, France and Canada, and probably a few places I don't know. I speak a little French and am working very diligently to learn more. I also enjoy trying my hand at Italian..and well, Spanish would be a fun one to learn as well.
I wrote a book called The Dog and the Hurricane when I volunteered after Katrina to help with the animals at Lamar Dixon Center. I'm a dedicated animal rescuer and love animals.
I had a bed and breakfast for years before airbnb and am still very much in contact with many of my former bed and breakfast guests, now lifelong friends. I have another book on Kindle called STONE GUMBO that pretty much gives a picture of that experience along with a fictional story.
And for the outrageous..yes I have been on a reality show, there were no duck calls or swamps involved.
I've got good advice on food and music and a great Cajun good time. Come see y'all.
