This tranquil space is in the heart of Lafayette, close to anything you want to see, hear, or experience in Cajun country. In a quiet older neighborhood, this centrally located apartment is attached to a home but is completely private with your own entrance and private space for up to 4 persons. There is a den, a bedroom and a bathroom. The den has a mini kitchen with a dorm sized refrigerator, a coffee pot and a small food prep area.. The den also has a fold out futon and bedding to sleep 2 additional persons. The bedroom has a queen sized bed and the bathroom is located off the bedroom. Guests must pass through the bedroom to access the bathroom. A warm savory breakfast is delivered each morning along with fruit and juice in the room. Wander the organic garden year round, maybe make a mosaic in the art studio (small additional fee) or just enjoy the peace and quiet. Cajun dancing, music and food are never far. Free internet access. Pets are welcomed as long as they are 15 pounds or less and well behaved, advance notice requested.
Happy to do Vegan if requested.
ROKU tv setup for Netflix and many other choices as well as Pandora so movies and Netflix shows are available and music to suit your tastes.
Welcome glass of wine and "un tit gout", "little taste" hors d'oeuvre await you upon arrival
The neighborhood is great for walking and biking. I do not provide bikes but there are rentals available in town.
Good restaurants and grocery stores with many prepared food options are less than two minutes drive. Sushi, pizza, Cajun, Mexican, deli, and many others to choose from.
Antique shops, local art galleries, movie theatres and a growing variety of local talent theatre productions are available by short drive as well.
Please note, during festivals I am an exhibiting artist, so breakfast arrangements may change. ALSO during Festivals Acadiens and Festival International a 2 night minimum stay is requested.
I have an organic vegetable garden on site that you're welcome to enjoy, as well as citrus trees, blueberries, bananas and flowers. I am also an experimental aquaponic gardener. Check out the grow beds and fish tank at your leisure.
Love walking the beautiful tree lined paths and streets in my neighborhood.

Even though we weren't able to stay with Leslie she was kind and gracious when we had to cancel because of a family emergency!
Very nice host ,and nice house ! Leslie make us a very good breakfast ,thank you !!!
Muy buena. Leslie nos atendió muy bien. Nos recibió con unas tapas caseras muy ricas y siempre estuvo muy atenta a que pasáramos bien.
Nosotros éramos dos parejas y estuvo muy bien!
Leslie was a wonderful host. Despite the repeated delays and changes in our itinerary due to the big freeze in the area we had a great experience with her. She was very accomodating and gracious. We felt spoiled with the wonderful breakfast she made everyday delivered to our door at exactly the time we wanted it. The accomodation was clean and spacious, and conveniently located. We highly recommend choosing this site for your next trip to this area.
Leslie's house was wonderful! I would definitely recommend staying here. (and from what we heard from her neighbors her breakfast is amazing!) Such a cute, comfy place.
Thank you to Leslie for saving us from the cold and letting us stay at such late notice.
Leslie's guest annex was a cosy, private and clean haven. Her artistic flair added to the homeliness of staying there-including a handmade treat on arrival.
Another bonus was the very smart quality bed linen and a firm, amazingly comfortable bed!
We loved Leslie's breakfast and hearing her stories over coffee. We were also greatful for her friendly introduction to her neighbours who make costumes for Mardi Gras.
Very glad to have got snowed in!
We are two travellers from Australia and Leslie made us feel incredibly welcome. The apartment was a good size and very comfortable with everything you would need and within walking distance of some local shops. Leslie's recommendations for the area were fantastic but the real highlight was her cooked breakfast which was delicious. We would definitely stay again.
Adorable little space for a comfy stay. Leslie was wonderful to stay with and was very responsive to our needs. We were less than ideal guests (cranky baby, whiny dog) but she made us feel very welcome.
Leslie welcomed us very warmly. Though she was busy organizing her week-end, she took the time to discuss with us when we arrived a bit early. We had a wonderful time in Lafayette, and she gave us some tips on where to go for visiting, listening to zydeco music, and eating cajun food. The part of her house she is lending to people is very nice and gives a total independence to her visitors. Last, her home-made breakfast was so tasty for french people who usually only eat bread, butter and jam! We will definitely come back to Leslie's place the next time we come to Lafayette.
My husband and 2 children and I stayed at Leslie's adorable place in Lafayette while visiting family in the area. Leslie met us with fresh satsumas and other citrus and a lovely olive tampenade. While we had no need to contact her during our stay, she made it clear she was available and my little terrier even had a romp with Leslie's sweet dog in the shared back yard.
The rooms are decorated with art and we all loved it, there were tons of blankets in the chest as it was about as cold as Lafayette gets when we were there! But we were very comfortable.
There is also a toaster oven, which is nicer for heating up some meals then a microwave so I liked that.
My daughter cried when we had to leave, maybe we will come back some day!
