No large parties and no loud music after 12AM. Company is fine. No smoking.
Our experience was a great one. The studios are in an amazing area, right about the bar Revel in the Meatpacking District. You couldn't ask for a better location.
When we arrived the hostess at Revel was very friendly and helpful. She immediately got the keys for us and showed us to our room. The room was as described and pictured in the ad. Very clean for NYC standards, brick walls and modern decoration.
We only stayed for one night so we had no use for the kitchenette but it was clean and had a toaster and a refrigerator. The bathroom was clean and we were supplied with clean towels. We had no issue with the hair dryer or the water pressure as I know some other people mentioned. Both worked fine.
It is very noisy at night, the bar underneath is open late and plays music all night, but if you have ear plugs it is really not an issue at all. Me and my girlfriend both slept perfectly fine. Don't let that deter you from staying here.
All in all we were extremely happy with our stay. I would definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for a clean apartment in a great area of the city.
I didn't mind the disco thump of Sunday brunch music coming from the bar below as it ended promptly at 8pm but the sweltering heat in the apt and the ill working AC unit were really unacceptable. I awoke at 4am to travel so having to sit in the restaurant while the staff tried to track down host for confirmation of my arrival was annoying- the staff however was extremely helpful and gracious- even offering me a drink while I waited however plopping down with a suitcase in the midst of the Sunday brunch chaos wasn't much fun! The set of keys originally provided didn't unlock the outer door so I had to track the maitre d down again to let me in. The apartment never cooled down past 79 degrees and the single set of tattered mid-matched towels were soaked when I had to keep reusing them after showering to cool off. My first shower unearthed a host of partially used toiletries and soaps left by previous guests I presume. The toilet hadn't been cleaned and there were hairs left behind on the seat. The kitchen was stocked with sweeteners but there was no coffee or tea. As a fellow air bnb host a few basic amenities and a bit of care would show some evidence of welcoming your guests.
It was very clean and in a great location! The only complaint is we couldn't really check in until almost 4pm when the cleaner was done. It kept us waiting around with out suitcases for a while.
Great space, surprisingly large! Brick wall was unexpected but I didn't much mind. Was super helpful in making sure everything went smoothly despite my late arrival. Thanks so much!
Great location that is central to cool bars and restaurants. The apartment is simple but all that we needed. Subway is about 300m away. There are 2 levels of stairs to content with but not a massive issue. Only downside was the weak Internet. Often down in afternoon and night. Note it is above a bar/restaurant so can be a bit noisy at night but didn't worry us.
