About This Listing
Enjoy fabulous views of Downtown and Twin Peaks from two well-appointed bedrooms in my home on Potrero Hill. The hot tub, with its own fabulous views of The City, is always ready. Note that this is "Hosted" Check out 200+ 5 Star reviews!
NOTE: This is a "hosted" listing is for 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom on the top floor of my home and access to the main floor including the kitchen. I will likely be living in the house during your stay. (Airbnb does not have an option for marketing 2 bedrooms together unless its listed as "Entire Home", hence this work around.)
The House: Enjoy San Francisco's sunniest neighborhood, Potrero Hill, in this charming and well decorated Mediterranean style retreat complete with fabulous views of Downtown and Twin Peaks.
This listing is for the top floor of my home including 2 large and well-appointed bedrooms and one luxurious bath (with access to the other bath on the main floor). Each room has a balcony or deck and fantastic city views!
West Room: French doors open to a balcony with breath-taking views of Downtown and Twin Peaks. The bedroom includes a European Sleepworks queen bed, fine linens and towels, Cable TV, desk, large closet and wireless internet.
East Room: Off the bedroom is a very large sunny deck with views of Twin Peaks to the west, the East Bay, and AT&T Park. The bedroom also features a comfy European Sleepworks queen bed, fine linens and towels, desk, closet and wireless internet.
The deck also has a new Weber gas grill and patio furniture for your dining pleasure.
Both upstairs bedrooms access large sky-lit bathroom with luxurious shower with two heads. An additional full bathroom with bathtub is on the main floor.
The backyard Hot Tub is not to be missed - great views to Twin Peaks, Downtown, and even the top of the Golden Gate Bridge. It is always hot and ready for your enjoyment.
The house is set away from the street with a gracious front patio/garden. Despite its convenient location, the home is very quiet.
In addition, I've installed an electronic front door lock for your convenience.
While I do not serve breakfast, I always have coffee and tea, and either English muffins or whole wheat bread available for you. You are welcome to use the kitchen (always for breakfast and snacks, but please coordinate with me for other meals).
In addition, feel free to relax in the living room and outdoor patios too.
Let me know if you need access to the washer and dryer as well (more appropriate for guests with stays longer than 2 nights).
Interaction with Guests
I'll be in the home to help with any questions about the home and San Francisco. My master suite is on the bottom floor providing great privacy for all.
Potrero Hill is not only known for its sunny weather but also for its friendly vibe. A variety of restaurants and bars are in walking distance. 85 Walk Score! Whole Foods is an easy amble down (and up!) the hill. And the Mission District beckons to the West.
I'll send you my custom GoGoBot guidebook (works on smartphones too), links to nearby transit routes, as well as promo codes for discounted rides on Uber and Lyft (only good for new users of the service).
Potrero Hill offers easy access to the hot Mission District, AT&T Park, SoMa, and Downtown - all are walkable and the area is well served by city transit. Sitting between highways 101 and 280 access to the rest of the city and the entire Bay Area is easy. CalTrain is an easy walk. Lyft and Uberx provide easy accessible taxi-like service. 85 Walk Score!
If you are renting a car or driving, there is plentiful parking outside the home. No meters or permit required. Just remember to "curb" your wheels on the hill.

This house was perfect for my business trip to San Francisco. I felt entirely at home, surrounded by beautiful art and lovely balconies overlooking the hip neighborhood of Potrero. Every single inch of this house is clean and wonderfully decorated. The rooms were VERY comfortable. One side of the house has views of the bay and another has views of the city. Our host was relaxed and accustomed to having guests come and go and provided us with a great list of nearby restaurants, stores, and other things to do. The jacuzzi over-looking the city is amazing. This rental also gives you the feel of San Francisco--for example, I loved the near vertical street driving experience!! I highly recommend Fran's house and her hospitality!
We felt so welcome in this home. Fran was just lovely as was her gorgeous house! Clean and stylish with beautiful little touches everywhere, amazing artwork too!
Fran was more than generous with recommending local haunts, transport options etc... and the restaurants she recommended were great. The neighbourhood felt safe to walk through in the evenings, and had stunning views of the city. Comfy beds, we loved the little balconies off our rooms, such a treat, there really wasn't anything not to like.
We would definitely come back here, hopefully for longer next time. THANK YOU Fran for making our stay so comfortable.
We stayed at Fran's in 2011 (under my husband's account) and liked the experience so much we returned 4 years later with our baby boy, occupying both of her top floor bedrooms. It would be hard to land somewhere more lovely & comfortable with an infant in the city. Fran's house is elegant and spacious and the rooms feel quite private. The views are inspiring and restful. Everything is incredibly clean. The outdoor hot tub is a special treat. Fran has thought through all the logistics for your stay, from easy house access to neighborhood tips and shared use of kitchen etc. Potrero Hill is upscale, quiet and sunny with a convenient Whole Foods, coffee shops and other amenities just a few (hilly!) blocks walk away from her place. We particularly liked Farley's. Potrero Hill is pretty isolated from public transport so it's easier with a rental car (parking plentiful). Staying with Fran has given us two dreamy SF experiences - thank you.
The house was great, beautiful in fact. I slept in the East room and fell asleep to stars out the window and wonderful sunlight in the morning. Its location is perfect with beautiful views. My colleague and I were able to walk where we needed to go, but if you are opposed to hills then you may want to get a car. We only got to meet Fran on the last day but she was perfectly sweet and accommodating. Don't miss the hot tub!
Fran has a lovely home, very clean and comfortable. The bedrooms had extra blankets and several types of pillows to choose from to meet different preferences. The hot tub was lovely, especially amidst the cold spell we experienced during our visit. Fran likes to keep the place neat and clean, and so equally expects her tenants to keep the common areas tidy. She was also helpful in advising on sight-seeing and local amenities. Overall, it was a great first airbnb experience.
Such a marvelous home, very helpful host, we all Enjoyed our stay and would love to come back soon!

About the Host, Fran
I'm a Bay Area Internet Entrepreneur and marketer serving as board advisor to a range of small companies I enjoy meeting new entrepreneurs and business people as well as tourists and work hard to be sure everyone has a positive experience in my home.
My two homes are both in cities named by the Spanish for Saint Francis of Assisi: San Francisco and Santa Fe (Santa Fe's full name is La Villa Real de la Santa Fé de San Francisco de Asís (“The Royal Town of the Holy Faith of St. Francis of Assisi”).
My primary home is in Potrero Hill in San Francisco. I love the home's gardens and fantastic views which you can see from five different patios or decks. My guests enjoy the combination of luxury and elegance with comfortable charm.
My second home, primarily a vacation home, is in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where I grew up. This home is truly "Santa Fe Style" with vigas (ceiling beams), Kiva fireplace, wood floors and thick adobe walls. The setting is spectacular in the heart of old Santa Fe with easy access to the museums, art, hiking trails, and plaza.
As you can see from my reviews, many first-time Airbnb guests have enjoyed my home. If you are new to Airbnb (or not) and want to book one of my listings, please consider these 'pro tips' gleaned from my airbnb experiences...both, as a host and as a guest:
1) Be Verified and have a nice, clear photo of your face on your profile *before* sending a note/booking request to a host (trust and transparency are keys to success here). As a woman it is especially important that I know who is staying at my home
2) Read the Airbnb FAQs thoroughly! Hosts with popular listings are busy people and we appreciate it when prospective guests ask questions unique to their travel situation and/or the listing in question.
3) PLEASE thoroughly read through my listing(s). I assure you that your questions about parking, public transportation, check in/out, etc. have been included in the listing(s)
4) Tell me about yourself. Since you may have few/no reviews, hosts like me must make a guess as to what sort of guest(s) you might be (and some hosts won't even consider people new to Airbnb). In the absence of a review, you might consider the following to ensure I (other hosts) will feel comfortable approving your request:
• in your initial note, it is appreciated when you include what your plans are during your stay (sightseeing, attending a conference, partying at clubs, etc)
• include assuring comments about how you will treat my home (i.e. "I will treat your home with the same respect I treat mine")
• let me know you've read the house rules, and that they are agreeable to you (this is a must, please)
5) Finally...I, like other busy hosts, keep my calendar up to date! So, if Airbnb is showing either of my listings as available for your dates - the place is available! If my listing suits your needs, it is best to send the booking request right off. If you hesitate, the other person looking at my place for your dates will get it!
Hope this is helpful. Welcome to my home.
