Had a very comfortable one month stay here. Mackenzie was great as well as the other roommate. Other reviews are spot on.

Don't even know where to begin! My stay with Mackenzie and Frank was awesome! They weren't around the entire time but were always super easy to contact. When they were there they were always warm and friendly. The home is beautifully decorated and looks just as the pictures showed. I felt comfortable hanging out in the living room or the dining room with no problem. I really did feel very at home, which was perfect because I stayed for about a month and a half. The home isn't actually in Temescal (I don't think). I'm pretty sure it's the neighborhood near Temescal. Anyways something to note if you are looking for that neighborhood in particular. I felt safe walking during the day (although I mostly biked or drove) but I personally wouldn't walk at night. However, Oakland is super easy to get around and you can get around almost anywhere for a $4 Uber. That said, I would absolutely stay again. You do stay with another airbnb person (if it's booked) and if you're lucky you'll get an awesome roommate, like I did! Overall awesome stay! Loved my home away from home!

It was such a nice place to stay, quiet and clean, with great hosts! During my almost four month stay I felt like home. Lovely room with very confortable bed and plenty of shelf! A great plus was the cleaning every other week! I can definitely recommend this place!

I stayed with Frank and Mackenzie for three months over the summer. They were kind and friendly hosts. The living arrangement exceeded my expectations. The house was very quiet and clean amidst a friendly neighbourhood. My room was comfortable too and I also loved the interior decor. The kitchen was well stocked with all required utensils. The only thing I wished is for the BART station to be a bit closer (It's a 20 minute walk) but I ended up getting a bike which worked out well (They have a bike stand in the backyard which is convenient.). Would highly recommend staying here !

Mackenzie and Frank are great hosts. I stayed for a month, and I enjoyed my stay with them a lot. They provided all the information I needed before I got there, and they were very helpful while staying. Lovely house with a comfy, quiet room, and a clean bathroom and kitchen. Walkable distance to either MacArthur Station or Ashby Station, or you can take a bus right near the house to the station. Highly recommend to stay.

Frank and Mackenzie were wonderful hosts with a great place. The listing was completely accurate and I couldn't of asked for a better place to stay. During my 2-month stay, Frank and Mackenzie provided a pleasant experience with various advice, conversation, and privacy. The room was just what I needed for my temporary stay. The place is centrally located with the Ashby or MacArthur BART stations. Various shops, stores, and farmer's markets are in the general vicinity. I am very appreciative to them for opening their house to me and allowing me to stay. It was especially nice as I am new to the area. Street Parking is easy and no problems with anyone that has a vehicle.
