Some books are available in the bookshelf, if you have time over to read after visiting historical sites.
The world's smallest sovereign state, the Vatican, sits atop the low-lying Vatican hill just a few hundred meters west of the river Tiber.
centered on the domed bulk of St. Peter's Basilica and Piazza San Pietro, it is the Capital of the Catholic world, a spiritual superpower, whose law is gospel to the world's one billion Catholics.
On a more temporal level, its one of Rome's most visited (website hidden). Peter's Basilica is a major basilica in Vatican City, an enclave of (website hidden). Peter's was until recently the largest church ever built and it remains one of the holiest sites in Christendom.

Other Things to Note
The location is very calm in the middle of the hub-hub of the City. The apartment is on a quiet side street and no cars are allowed. A good rest is important also on holiday, specially in a city like Rome, where there is so much to see and Rome should be visited walking.
We keep the apartment always very clean and in excellent condition as we want the guests feel at home and comfortable. We expect the guests leave the apartment in order after their stay, but we do the final cleaning.
The appartment was fine for ous first visite to Rome. One of us could sleep on a mattress in the livingroom. So everybody had some privacy.
In the appartment we found everything we needed. Katies description was helpful to get to the house in Borgo. We had a friendly welcome by our hosts. They gave us good advice for shopping and eating in Rome. There were several nice restaurants in the neighborhood and a Minimarket just next door.
A great place to stay in Rome, which I definitely would recommend. Good located, close to Vatican, some shops and nice restaurants. The flat was clean and equipped with all you need. Paula, who showed us the flat was very nice and helpful. Lovely stay!

Perfect location a block from the Vatican. Apartment just as described. Very clean, and English speaking host(s) that can help you with questions. There is a mini market next door run by extremely friendly people -- basic foods, drinks (cold beers!) at low prices served with a smile!
My stay at the appartment was fantastic. The location was excellent, it really is just by the vatication. The apartment while small was clean, not too many steps to the 1st floor, and really provides you with exposure to the true Rome experience. Couple of things to watch when you arrive. Do not pay the 45 euro taxi fare we did from the train station to the apartment, you sould only be paying approx. 15 euros. The list of restaurants on the list recommended by the host is not accurate, one no longer exists. But other then those small issues, everything else was great!
Very sorry for the taxi fare. That happens sometimes in Rome, which is very unfortunate for many travelers, who don't know how much the taxi should really cost. We will update the list of restaurants. Thanks for mentioning it. Good to know that your stay was excellent.

The first time I arrived in Rome I felt at home. Now you may ask: How can a little girl from Finnish Lapland and nightless nights feel at home in Rome ?
That was my first Italian Moment along with many others to follow.
Destiny introduced me to real estate business and quality properties both in Rome and elsewhere in Italy together with a large community of foreigners finding themselves in or wanting to visit Italy for work, study, leisure or pleasure. All of us have had and will have our own Italian Moments. I'm helping people from all over the world find their special Italian Moment by finding them holiday accommodation and interesting and fun things to do: whether it is a holiday, a wedding, cultural or gastronomical tour or painting course or anything they might want to do during their stay in this beautiful country.
