The host has a lot going on with her life so if you are a social butterfly it would be a good match. If you are to yourself thats fine too because the host stays busy. The area where the house is, is beautiful. Lots of green, monkeys, birds, butterflies, and insects. It is safe and secluded from the rest. There are 2 downsides. 1st it is up a huge hill. So you would need a 4x4 vehicle to access it. Taxi's will not go up the hill. You can walk the hill but don't expect to walk up the hill with luggage or a big bag because you would be asking for an injury. The bottom of the hill is across the road to the beach and right in town which is not a downside at all. 2nd downside, the listing does NOT include the entire home. There are 2 floors, each accessible with their own front door. The pool is on the 2nd floor above your ceiling. We were under the impression that the pool is private. We were allowed to use it but not during the evening, also during the day there was always someone working on the land or taking care of something at the house. If your purpose for renting is COMPLETE privacy... not the place. The house is screened which allows lots of air and a breeze but it also allows anyone walking by to look inside and see. Comparing the house to other places in Santa Teresa... this place has the amenities others don't, its easy to keep clean and its spacious inside. Because it is up a hill it is cooler but also attracts more bugs. Pros and Cons right? Santa Teresa is a beautiful place to visit definitely a place needed to go, people are friendly and relaxed, and most are willing help.

Casa Zwart is set back in a beautiful area of St. Teresa. A key lockbox is available and super convenient for those who arrive later than scheduled. This apartment is perfect for travelers that want the St. Teresa experience but also seclusion.

Margaret was very friendly and was available if we needed something and also gave us our privacy. The home was ok, but I felt was not worth the price we paid. Water pressure in shower was a little more than a trickle and leaked all over the bathroom. Overall the place was ok.

I am a surfer and an artist. I have lived i Costa Rica now for 10 years. I have one little girl named Zaia two dogs and two cats. I own a small art cafe called Zwart Cafe on the beach road in Santa Teresa. Come and meet me. I'm here most of the time, if not I'm out surfing. I'm a very helpful Dutch Blooded, Canadian born, Hostess. I recommend this beach town and my place. Smile.
