The space

Charming bright one bedroom garden flat available in the heart of fashionable Notting Hill. Beautiful and quite tree lined street, close to Westbourne Grove, Ledbury Road and the famous Portobello Market.
A small front garden leads down steps to own entrance. The apartment has a double bedroom room and bathroom. Bright open plan living room area extends into glassed extension, housing the kitchen/dining space which looks onto a pretty little patio garden. The flat is light and airy. Fully equipped fitted kitchen, oven, hob, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge. Dining table seats 4 to 8 for entertaining. The apartment has broadband wifi access, TV, DVD, phone etc. The flat is ideal for a couple - the interior is smart with stone flooring and a ledges so maybe not so good for toddlers or small children.

The flat is also in the perfect location for you to begin exploring London. Notting Hill neighbourhood is a delight to walk around. Close to Portobello Road, where you can visit the famous vintage/antique market. The area is also packed with chic eclectic cafes and restaurants. The apartment is just a short walk form Notting Hill Tube Station (Central Line & Circle/District lines) and Westbourne Park Road Tube Station (Hammersmith & City lines).
The area is well served by tubes buses and taxi - all within minutes.
Central line tube is direct to Oxford Street, the City of London and Stratford Olympic Park. Easy access to West End theatre and restaurants. Knightsbridge and Harrods a couple of tube stops away. Tranquil Holland Park & Hyde Park around the corner - have morning walk or jog and breakfast in outdoor cafes. V&A and Natural History Museum on Exhibition Road is a lovely walk through park or stroll via High Street Kensington past Royal Albert Hall. Banks, post office, supermarket are within 5 min walking distance.

The Heathrow Express train, 15 minutes to Heathrow Airport departs from Paddington Station - a 5 minute taxi journey from flat or 15 minutes by bus.
Coming from Gatwick, you can either take the Gatwick Express train (45min) or the National Express coach (1hr 35min) to Victoria station. The coach is cheaper than then train but comfortable - I suggest you check both out online and book in advance as cheaper. A taxi from Victoria station to the flat will take 15-20 mins. Or you can take the circle line tube to Notting Hill - taxi, 15 minutes walk or bus (phone number hidden) flat.
St Pancras - take Hammersmith and City tube line from Kings Cross to Westbourne Park Road station, 5 mins walk to flat. Taxi journey is about 15 mins - taxi lane nearly all the way.

We stayed in Sally's apartment over the Easter break ,easy check/in/out, well what can we say . We did not want to leave , beautiful place full of Sally's personality and character. Situated in a nice safe residential area, just short walk from Kensington Park Road and Portobello Road .The garden area is just the icing on the cake to sit having breakfast looking onto that , very St Ives . We ate out in the area and can thoroughly recommend the Italian restaurants Osteria Basilica and The Mediterraneo (best mozzarella ever). The only problem you will have with this place is trying to find it free .

Sally's flat is a wonderful hidden gem on a quiet street in Notting Hill. The flat is clean, bright and well-located in walking distance to restaurants, stores and transit. We didn't want for anything during our stay as her home is well-stocked. We visited during the winter and it was very nice to come home in the evening and sit by the warm fire sipping tea or wine. While we didn't meet our host, she was in contact throughout our stay and provided us with a list of local restaurants. We will definitely return!

This is the third time that my husband and I have stayed in Sally's garden flat. This time we stayed for a week and everything was perfect as it usually is.The flat is more beautiful and gorgeous than what the pictures depict; it's great if you go in summer to unwind and get something fresh to drink in the lovely garden. This place is very well located: in a quiet and residential area that I love: Notting Hill, very near hip shops,Whiteley's shopping mall, Marks & Spencer supermarket, restaurants and pubs, walking distance from tube stations and bus stops that take you everywhere. This time I got to know Sally personally and she is a very kind and polite woman who made us feel at home from beginning to end. I highly recommend Sally as a host and this posh and charming garden flat.

Sally's place is a wonderful oasis in a city that can at times be exhausting. Everything has been thought through from the ease of access in gaining entry to the well appointed home. Whatever I needed was there, even to the point where Sally left me a grapefruit for breakfast on the first morning. The real jewel in this place is the decked outdoor space and the glass ceiling in the kitchen/living room which provides glorious light and a great relaxation space. To top it off Notting Hill is the perfect place to stay in London. It's centrally located close to where you'd want to go but away from all that madness that Knightsbridge etc has. There's a lovely community feel in Notting Hill too with great cafes, shopping and supermarkets close by. If you're in London Sally's place is definitely your best option.

What a great & quiet location, close to the main transportation lines! I particularly appreciated the art and mid-century furniture elements in the apartment (I am a big fan of the Eames chairs & vintage Scandinavian coach). Sally is a very accessible and happy to help out if and when required. The terrace/garden is a big plus as well…. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay in a spacious flat in a beautiful part of London, managed by a very sweet lady.

Originally Irish, I have lived in London many years - I love London. It's a fantastic city...vibrant or tranquil depending on your mood. I have worked in the fashion business but have now retained as a psychotherapist; I enjoy both. I can't live without my friends, my dog Buckley, Hyde Park, work and play. I used to travel a lot and love Bali, Ibiza, LA, Stockholm and Tokyo. This year I'll be working in Belgium, where I've never been and always wanted to go. Notting Hill is wonderful, it has a lovely village atmosphere. My flat feels good; it's a little haven, bright and comfortable - easy to settle into. I hope you will enjoy the experience - I know I'm biased, but I think you will. I would like you to feel very welcome and hope you enjoy all that London has to offer.
