You would be in walking distance from museums (from the National WWI Memorial to the Riverboat Musuem), cultural events centers (from the Kauffman Performing Arts Center to the Sprint Center), KC history (from jazz cubs to BBQ), and beautiful architecture (turn of the century to cutting edge). All this from the comfort and safety of the up-and-coming Quality Hill neighborhood.

If you are in KC this is the place to stay! The loft is exquisite and in the heart of the city it makes many locations to visit easily walkable or a quick drive. We had our two young sons with us as well and DJ was more than willing to help us with accommodations for them as she expressed how much she loved kids through our airbnb correspondence. The price was perfect as we were visiting from Florida and had only been offered the hotel rates at the Marriott on Main and 12th with the convention group we were with. We saved over 200$ by staying at the loft, was able to bring in our own food (although the BBQ in KC is truly amazing), and had ample room for our boys to romp about instead of in the confines of a hotel room. You'll love the eclectic taste of the loft, the cleanliness and especially the view!!! It is a perfect place for couples just doing a getaway or for families in town for a visit!
We spent five comfortable nights at the loft and couldn't have been more pleased. The location was perfect for sightseeing, and we were able to visit many of the places DJ recommended. Returning to the loft after being out and about was one of our favorite daily rituals. Parking wasn't a problem. We found a spot within a block or two every time we returned. We loved Kansas City, and would stay at the loft again without hesitation.
What an awesome place!!! Wish we were staying longer just to hang out in her awesome loft. Everything was SO easy - she really made us feel at home, and provided so much information about the area (and a great BBQ recommendation!). We were even able to get a quick workout in the building's gym before continuing our road trip. I was worried about the parking, but we ended up finding free street parking right outside the door. Highly recommended!!
We had a great stay in Kansas City! DJ had a great place in downtown KC with amazing views of the skyline. It was within walking distance of everything so it was really easy to get around. The loft was stocked full of goodies for guest which was so thoughtful. Our first AirBnB rental was great and we will definitely be using the service again
About the Host, Dj
I love living in Kansas City where I fill my time with nannying the most amazing 3-year-old little dude and equally stellar 11-month-old "ladybug", acting, singing, and working my catering business: The Acting Chef! Kansas City is one of those over-looked cities, but I'm in love with its strong theater, jazz, art, and sports scenes (even though I'm a loyal Tigers & Cardinals fan). We also hold some of my favorite restaurants ever, yes I LOVE good food. I am very proud of my geek side which is fueled by a love of Harry Potter, Doctor Who, Firefly, Friends and, of course, Big Bang Theory. Although I will often happily take a break from any of that to read, cook or play a game with my lovely friends!
I am excited for you to make my home your temporary home! My dream is to someday have my own Bed&Breakfast in England so being apart of Airbnb is something I truly treasure. It is such an honor to have someone choose your home to stay in and I take that responsibility very seriously. Don't be surprised if you find some homemade treats to welcome you!!
