7th Street / Lake Austin / Downtown

Apartment - Entire home/apt · Hearn St, Austin, TX 78703, United States

The Space

I am offering my one bed room apt in downtown Austin. I live ON 7th street and the complex is just west of the Downtown area. The bedroom has a full queen size bed and a private bathroom. I am close to the best places Austin has to offer and can help you with navigating around the downtown / Lake Austin area. You can walk to grocery stores and also to the lake front. You can use guest parking. Best for one- two people, as there is just one full bathroom.

This is an ideal location for Austin City Limits, SXSW and F1. The apt complex is also on the bus stop and so public commute is easy should you prefer that.

Breakfast Pastries, Cereal and Fruit Provided throughout your stay. (Does not apply to sublets)

Please write a few lines of introduction when requesting a stay. I look forward to hearing from you.

  • Beautiful apartment with great water pressure and easy parking. Comfortable bed but wouldn't suggest sleeping on the couch. It is a bit of a walk to downtown but there is a great path along the river and the cab back isn't too expensive. Overall great experience and would use again.

  • This apartment is in a great location, only a 30 min walk to downtown and a few blocks from the river. Although small, has everything you would need and doesn't feel cramped. Wasn't the cleanest place i've ever stayed. We had to thoroughly clean the kitchen ourselves, because we found open moldy cans of food that were attracting rodents. We assume that it was from the guest who stayed before us. Otherwise, good value for the money.

  • Rachel was a wonderful host and very accommodating. Rachel was kind enough to leave us delicious breakfast pastries! The apartment was very clean and was located in a great location. I would emphasize that the apartment is best for 2 or less (There is a comfy bed but no couch...2 chairs in the living room for movie viewing). Thanks Rachel!

  • Rachel was very responsive during our entire stay at her apartment. If you're on a budget, I would definitely recommend her place.

  • Rachels apt. is very nice. Was very clean with everything in good order. We loved the location as we brought bikes and it has great access to the river trail. We also left our bikes outside our second story front door and they were fine unlocked the whole trip. This is a great place for 1-2 max. DVD only, no cable, which is fine except we were unfortunate to have lousy wet cold weather and were in more than we wanted to be, and would have enjoyed using the great tv there.
Rachel was easily reachable, even being out of town and we had easy access into the location.
    Thanks!

  • We had a great stay at Rachel's. She was very accommodating. Even allowed us to leave our luggage at her apartment on the check out day and come back later that night while she was there to pick it up. We would def recommend Rachel as a host!

  • Rachel was very helpful and welcoming. Overall, the place was nice but there were a few things that made our stay less enjoyable. First, the internet did not work. Although Rachel offered to call the Time Warner people I ended up just asking one of the neighbors for their wifi connection because I needed it in that moment not the following day. Second, the AC was very noisy, the bathtub took 10+ minutes to drain, and the toilet stopped flushing 2 days into our visit. Finally and most importantly, the apartment was not very clean. There was dust everywhere and long, dark hair throughout the restroom.

    Response from Rachel:

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. There are a couple of things I would like to address.
The Internet: I asked the guest to unplug the router and replug it in. She said she was able to connect to another network so was fine. When I arrived the after her departure I did just that and the internet worked perfectly. We all know how tricky routers can be and that it is out of my control if there is a disruption in the internet. I would have liked to come by and address this if it was an issue.

The AC: I have never received a complaint regarding this. Sorry it was not ideal for your stay.

Tub and Toilet: I had maintenance address this when the guest left. I was told this issue was caused by the guest flushing non toilet paper items in the toilet. My apologies for not informing you to not flush any feminine products due to older pipes.

Cleanliness: I am sorry this was less than ideal for you. As you can see, I have never had an issue with this in past stays. I would have refunded your cleaning fee had you brought this to my attention.

  • Rachel was a great host. Great decor of the apartment and was very easy to check in and out of the apartment for our night in Austin.
