A fantastic, modern, 1 bed apartment in the heart of Old Street/Shoreditch. Well located for some of Londons best restaurants and coolest bars. Bikram Yoga 2 mins away.
The apartment has a large spacious living area with a dining table, sofa, and day bed, which can comfortably accommodate one more person, to take the apartment capacity to 3 on request (which must be agreed in advance). There is a 37" HD TV, with a built-in digital tuner and a dvd player attached.
There is wi-fi in the apartment. It comes via fibre and is very fast and reliable. I offer it free but being what it is I can’t control the occasional fluctuation. The password is on the noticeboard.
A fully fitted kitchen with oven/fridge/freezer. The bedroom has a very comfortable double bed, chest of drawers and built-in wardrobe. The apartment has a modern bathroom with shower/bath. There is a balcony, which is great for enjoying the warm summer nights, and relaxing after a busy day in London.
The building is very safe as it has a secure entrance, and concierge.
Perfectly located, the flat makes a great base for single professionals or couples working in the city or socialising in Shoreditch, Hoxton, Clerkenwell, Islington, and the West-end is only short bus ride. It's on the corner Nile Street / Provost street, London N1 and is 5 mins to Old street tube (Northern line) and walking distance from the Angel, Islington. The Northern Line gives you quick and easy access to Kings Cross/St Pancras, and from there you can catch trains all over the UK, to Luton airports and the Eurostar the France and Belgium.
The apartment is also just a short walk to the vibrant and eclectic area of Shoreditch and Brick Lane, where you can visit the best curry houses in London, browse the vintage shops and visit some of the most interesting and eclectic bars and clubs in town! Spitalfields Market is also just a stones throw from the apartment, Sunday's Columbia Road Flower Market is very close by too.
There are heaps of bars and restaurants within walking distance of the apartment, Jamie Oliver's '15' restaurant is a couple of mins away, William IV pub is round the corner, and The Tramshed, The Rivington, Hawksmoor, and The Great Eastern Dining Rooms are all minutes away.
A Tesco supermarket is less than 5 mins, with Sainsbury's and Waitrose not much further.
The Barbican is an easy walk, as is The White Cube. You can get direct buses to London Bridge for Borough Market and Tate Modern.
Please note that the security deposit will be negotiable depending on the length of stay.
Be nice. Treat it with respect. Like most places on AirBnB it is a home not a hotel. So if you make a mess, clean it up and take out the garbage. (Sounds obvious but you wouldn't believe... ) If you stay longer than a week you must have a cleaner which I can arrange. No smoking indoors but you can smoke on the balcony.
Steve was absolutely great to deal with. Would recommend him any time.
Nice apartment that looks just like the pictures. On a nice quiet street in close proximity to nice pubs and restaurants. Didn't have any negative issues during my short stay. Would recommend
Great and modern place in London. Very well located.
Steve was always available and helpful.

Spent a wonderful three weeks in Steve's apartment. Everything was as described. The apartment is spacious and comfortable. The neighborhood is great -- lots going on in Shoreditch and Hoxton and the Old Street tube is just a couple of minutes away. Steve made everything very easy and was very quick to respond to questions, etc. Highly recommended.
What a lovely apartment in a prime location, that is literally 7 mins away from Old street station. Steve was quite helpful and very professional with the directions, handling the keys and tips. This is my second time using airbnb and Steve's apartment has absolutely made me not to even think about staying in hotels in London anymore!
I work in the creative industry, and Old Street/Shoreditch is really is the most creative area in London!
