Room clean, in a very safe area, very nice host and guests. I would say : go and don't hesitate to book this room.
Danielle is an ideal hostess: easy to reach, friendly, super-concerned about keeping her guests happy, and fun to talk to. I really enjoyed meeting her. Her listing is as described: given that it's a mobile home, it's definitely a bohemian experience (you may be sharing a small bathroom with 6-7 people!), and space is quite tight, but in the 3 nights I stayed I had no problems at all. The other guests were all very well-mannered and considerate, interesting to chat with (a lot of them are European, which is fun), and miraculously I did not have to wait to use the bathroom once! The shower is very nice (good water pressure, easy to control the temperature). I would warn any very tall or large people that they might feel a bit claustrophobic because the ceiling height is low (especially in the shower) and the hallways are very narrow. Also, this might not be the place for you if you have a lot of luggage (there is not much storage space) or if you are very worried about security (with people constantly coming and going, the doors aren't always locked, and the front lock would be easy to break - there are no locks on the private room doors). But again, in my time there I had no problems: a bunch of us left our laptops sitting around and nothing got stolen. One very nice perk of this place is that Danielle is happy to lend you bikes. That could come in extremely handy for anyone who doesn't have a car, or if you want to explore the city and get some exercise and fresh air at the same time. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for basic, no-frills accommodations for a low price and a chance to meet other travelers (especially from outside the U.S.).
When we arrived in LA after a 28 hours travel Danielles little hideaway welcomed us very friendly although she wasn´t there, she prepared everything for us to make us feel as comfortable as possible. Unfortunately we didn´t meet her, but we would highly recommend this place for everybody who wants to explore LA from a very conveniently situated and safe neighbourhood and is also open to meet a lot of fun and interesting people. Thanks again Danielle!
Danielle is frankly an extraordinary host and I couldn't recommend this place highly enough!!!!~ I thought when I booked this room that it would just be a place to crash while apartment hunting.... I did not expect to meet such wonderfull people( Danielle as well as the other renters + Danielles flock of adorable fury creatures which live a few doors down). The house is really cozy and adorable so it was often fun just staying at home. It was lovely to make some new friends as well as go out with the gang, grab drinks, etc- was great to decompress in the midst of my otherwise stressfull apartment search. I actually felt our little group bonded so much that it was really sad when people started to go their separate ways~ I almost started crying!;( ...Danielle also was super amazing with me personally because she allowed me to extend my stay( 2x times..) when I still had'nt found the right apartment, and she even helped me find another situation on the 2 night's that she was too booked up! She always went the extra mile for me and Im guessing for others staying at the house too. She is really a special and rare host who everyone in the house totally loved and befriended- She responds asap to texts & calls and is always on call to help with anything that might need fix'in. More importantly, she is just a genuinely kind and giving person with great energy who really cares about people that rent with her- she also looks like a freakin' super model which seems to adds a certain element of glamor to the trailer style living space;) Thanks for the memories and hurray for new international (website hidden) friends! Thanks for tolerating the stress case that I often was, lolz... xo
Darling you make me misty with all of your kind words:) It has been such a pleasure having you around! Please don't be a stranger. I meant it when I said you truly are one of the best! Thanks for joining our bohemian gang;) Good luck apartment hunting with Hugo!
I stayed over Thanksgiving holidays, I arrived on the evening of Nov. 27th and left on the morning of Dec. 1st. I loved my stay here, the place is cozy, clean and warm and the other tenants were very friendly. Danielle had the room cleaned and prepped up when I arrived with clean sheets, towels and a handy little document left on my bed that had all the relevant information I needed (house rules, Wi-Fi password, etc.).
Excellent experience. I stayed here while doing some training for work and the place was perfect for my needs. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows, and the other roommates all seemed pretty chill.
How i can describe Danielle and Kira. The best hosts ever. They did everything to make me fell like in home and i felt that. The place is enough for young travellers. There're things in the neighbourhood which improve the experience in the place. Vons is jsut a few minutes walking and also good places to eat.
I really recommend stay with Danielle
