The Space

Imagine staying in a historic turn of the century farmhouse with redwood walls, 14-foot ceilings and tall many paned windows. Each room is outfitted to reflect Queens of ancient Egypt. There is the Ankhsenamen Room, the Nefertari Room, both of which can be rented separately for $150 a night (check my other listings), or you can rent the whole house (this listing) which can sleep up to 15 people.

There is the 30-foot long living room, with gas fireplace, air conditioner, and 2 ceiling fans. It is named for Cleopatra and has four couches that may be used for beds or just lounging. The room off the living rooms through sliding wooden doors is the Hatshepsut Room, and may have twin beds or 1 Queen sized bed as needed. Then there is the loft up winding stairs and named for Queen Nefertiti. It can sleep 5 in twin beds or be for a couple in a queen as needed. It has a half bath and there are two full bathrooms in the house downstairs, one with a bathtub the other with a shower. There is also Queen Ti’s Tearoom having another gas fireplace adjacent to the dining area with a long table for 15 people to dine. Then there is a kitchen outfitted for cooking, with a pantry with plates, wine glasses etc. required for serving. The house has wall-to-wall carpeting except in the kitchen and dining area. If you need to stay connected, note that the entire house has free wireless internet.

There are two decks. The one in front looks out on Geyser Peak off the living room and the one in back is off the kitchen and dining area. This is where the hot tub and the wood burning pyramid pizza oven are available to enjoy. There are tables and chairs for a fun party to be held in this area under a giant fig tree. There is parking right along side this house, which is set apart from the 10 acres that comprise the Isis Oasis Sanctuary, a spiritual retreat center dedicated to the ancient Egyptian Goddess Isis also known as Mother Earth.

As guests on the property, you would have access to the pool/hot tub and sauna onsite (Reminder: the Nesu Retreat House has it's own private hot tub). Additionally, you could view all the exotic cats and birds at our zoological sanctuary and partake of the events (films/plays/concerts) in our Egyptian temple themed redwood theater. 'Mummy's Kitchen' on our beautiful garden pavilion is often available for dining out and there are fine dining options within walking distance from The Nesu retreat House e.g. 'Catelli's Italian Restaurant', 'Diavola Pizzeria.' Additionally, there is 'The Geyserville Mud' coffee and pastry shop, which is a popular spot, and 'The Hoffman House Restaurant' on the north end of town, which is a terrific spot for breakfast.

We are close to many renowned wineries (Francis Ford Coppola, Trentadue, Trione, Geyser Peak, Clos Du Bois etc.), which offer wine tasting, and the Russian River is within a short walking distance for kayaking/canoeing. Lake Sonoma is about 6 miles away, and is a popular spot for boating and hiking. Additionally, River Rock Casino is close by! Please come and visit the unique...Nesu Retreat House. You don't have to travel far to be in a whole other world, time and place!

***NOTE: Although the Nesu Retreat House can accommodate up to 15 guests, pricing can be adjusted depending on how many are in your group e.g. If you're a group of 6, I can offer you a discounted rate of $450 per night for the entire house. Special pricing can also be offered to families with children. Please submit inquiries to me if interested in renting the Nesu Retreat House, and we can thereafter negotiate the numbers. Love & Blessings...Loreon***

  • We had a lovely time at the Retreat House. Thank you Loreon and Jim and everyone else at Isis Oasis.

  • The house perfectly fit our very large group, and we were able to have a rather loud reunion after a Hopland wedding without worrying about waking the neighbors.

The house was extremely spacious, and the cat sanctuary tour was an added perk.

  • Isis Oasis is just that, a lovely quirky oasis i. Geyserville. The host are amazingly hospitable, the house we stayed in was clean and charming and the pool, pizza ovens, and grounds are fantastic! We were there for a girls retreat and had a great time! Highly recommended and many to thanks to Loreen and Miguel!

  • The grounds were beautiful - complete with exotic animals and birds. Pool and private hot tub worked out great. Very easy to get to, close to highway 101. Overall great experience!

  • We had a good time at the Isis Oasis. In particular, the kids loved the birds and other animals, and we all found the place to be quite interesting and unique. If you are looking for fancy accommodations, this is definitely not the right place for you. But if you are looking for a laid back place to stay in wine country that is like a summer camp for kids, and if you don't mind basic accommodations, check this place out.

  • I happened upon Loreon's Isis Oasis by magical circumstance. I kept changing my mind and upgrading my stay...Loreon and her team were so gracious and accommodating for my group that went from 15 to 24 or 25! They treated us like family more than like guests and they made us feel very comfortable. They adjusted their schedules to fit ours and helped make for a very wonderful birthday and city get-a-way. I would suggest this place to anyone who wants to unwind, take a deep breath, and bask in the gifts of Mother (email hidden)e swimming pool, suana and hot tub help, too!

  • Loreon and her friends were very helpful during our stay. For example, Daniel took us for a hospitality tour when we arrived; A lamp went out at door way, but right after I made a phone call, this warm gentleman, Kent, immediately came by and fixed it. The house itself is uniquely designed, not mention the living zoo in the yard. You will meet friendly people and have wonderful experience.

  • The Nesu Retreat House was just what my Ragnar Relay race team needed after our SF to Calistoga 200mile overnight event. Being able to unwind and share our running experiences, pictures, and stories under one roof was priceless. Loreon was incredibly welcoming, the property was amazingly peaceful and rejuvenating. A very short walk down the street is a coffee shop and market to pick up some groceries and wine. We loved it!

  • We had a fabulous girls weekend at the Isis Slumber Party Room! There was a little bit of a mix-up in the planning process, but Loreon and Miguel worked it all out for us to have the best possible weekend in wine country. The giant room was perfect - lots of beds for us to sleep in and a super comfortable couch area to hang out and we liked being all together for the weekend. The hot tub was wonderful and just outside the lodge/party room. The location was extremely convenient for wine tasting (there are several wine tasting rooms just down the street or short drives to Dry Creek Road for relaxing and delicious tastings in Healdsburg). We had several requests and changes and Loreon was extremely flexible and gracious with our large group. If I ever plan a similar weekend this will be one of the first places I look! Thanks for a fantastic and memorable weekend.

  • We had a great time at the Nesu house. There was a ton of space and the hot tub was very nice after a day of floating on the river. The exotic cat tour was so fun! And the baby peacock was adorable. Loreon was very quick to respond to any questions.

About
I was a San Franciscan where I created a line of giftware and jewelry and came to the country to retire in 1978 on a 10 acre plot of land in beautiful Alexander Valley. I have spent this time creating art and beauty on my property which has a number of interesting buildings of historic significance including a 600 year old heritage tree. I dedicated the land to the ancient Egyptian Goddess Isis, otherwise known as Mother Earth. Instead of retiring, I used my time making my property a living art project. We are a non-profit organization housing exotic cats and birds of many species including a vivarium of interesting insects and small reptiles. There is also an art gallery for my artwork on my property as well as a gift bazaar offering ancient Egyptian alter pieces. I have a permaculture garden and labyrinth on my property to enjoy. We have a pool and spa, meditation temple and a redwood walled theater where concerts/plays/films are showcased. Please come and visit me at my unique peaceful sanctuary...I look forward to meeting you.
