The Bamboo room feels like a 2 room suite. Private bath with shower. Lovely views into the jungle. There is a nice 4 post full bed, large desk for your computer, futon couch (this also pulls into a bed), front porch, and lots of area to relax. We are just 2 miles to the ocean and 5 miles from Pahoa. We offer yoga classes, The cost is $10. per class per person. Sometime we offer meals, depending on how many guests we have. Massage is also available.
no smoking inside and no shoes inside
What an amazing place! Absolutely stunning location, comfy beds and lovely people (Hayward was great!) Would highly recommend - absolutely out of this world.
It was a unique experience to stay there. Feel like was back to a village in China.
My wife and I had a four day cliff notes visit to the Big Island and made a reservation for the Bamboo room at the yoga oasis. We were pleasantly surprised when upon arrival by being upgraded to the exotic jungle cabin. It was quaint, comfortable, with an amazing setting in the jungle. We arrived at dark and, being early risers, left before the classes began every morning and were unable to connect with Star. I highly recommend staying at the yoga oasis and would like to thank Star for allowing us the opportunity to stay at her lovely, private paradise.
Wonderful, lush, tropical oasis, fantastic accommodations, hospitable folks. I'd return, next time I'll take a yoga class!! I came with my 10 year old son, who loved it as well;-)
I planned my stay for three nights and added a fourth. Complete isolation in a rainforest environment with no locks on the doors takes a bit of getting used to. But the people at Oasis Yoga made me feel right at home, were very helpful, and at the same time respected my (forced! LOL!) privacy. Get ready for a period of internal reflection. It did a world of good. Also if you are not into yoga, force yourself to take a couple of morning courses (all levels) with Haywood. It will make you feel "a whole lot better!". Finally, the cabin itself was totally comfortable. If ever I get back to Pahoa, Oasis Yoga will be my destination.
Great spot! Definitely much more of an experience than a usual hotel or guesthouse. Very spacious and clean, great outdoor shower but the highlight was falling asleep to the sound of thousands of tree frogs. We were helped out with whatever we needed but left to our own devices to enjoy the space too. Only one thing - remember your insect repellant!
Exotic stay in a "jungle bungalow" in rain forest. Was given interesting incoming tour of place by host...then no further contact. Breakfast only served at additional cost. Hot water for tea was not always available in morning and not very hot when container was finally replenished. Good location for touring local area.
