Welcome to our EQUONI (River) Cottage w/ Sauna. This newly renovated cottage is one of three homes available on our large property. We are quite literally in the middle of the Coastal Redwoods centrally located in the heart of the National & State Redwood Parks with easy access to explore all the parks, trails, & beaches while providing a cozy, well-equipped home to rest in-between your adventures.

The space
Our six acre property sits in the middle of the Redwood National Park, backs up to Prairie Creek, & offers 3 Cottages on one side of the property as well as a small full hook-up RV Park on the opposite side. We are often visited by the amazing wildlife, including the Roosevelt Elk that call this area home. We are right off of Highway 101, three miles north of the town of Orick.

This Cottage sleeps up to 9 and features 3 Bedrooms (1 King, 1 Queen, 1 Full & 1 Twin, & a Queen sofa bed, 1 Bathroom w/ a Walk-In Shower, Full Kitchen, Dining Room, Laundry Room (full size washer & dryer), Living Room w/ 55” Smart TV, Fireplace, free WiFi, with a whole house generator for unplanned power outages.

Guest access
You will have access to the whole house & back patio area. Feel free to walk around our 6 acre property & during the fall enjoy our wild berries that encircle our property. Don’t be surprised if you are visited by the Roosevelt Elk that inhabit our area.

Other things to note
We are in-between Fern Canyon/Gold Bluff Beach & Prairie Creek State Parks with many beaches, lagoons, hikes & various parks close by.
Sometimes in our neck of the Redwoods, we lose power. Now we have a whole-house GENERATOR so your stay with us is not interrupted.
We provide FREE firewood, starters, & fire sticks to enjoy the fire pit.
PLEASE NOTE: From May 15-September 15th, Fern Canyon/Gold Bluff Beach Park requires a day-use permit. It is advised to acquire this before your visit & can be done online.

You'll be surrounded by endless opportunities to adventure through the forests, rivers, beaches, meadows, and prairies that make this a prime location for wild Elk viewing. Hundreds of miles of the pristine emerald forest lie literally at your doorstep as well for dreamy days of wandering on trails. Plus, Redwood National Park, Prairie Creek State Park, Lost Man's Creek Trail, Tall Trees Trail, Lady Bird Johnson Grove, Prairie Creek Trail, Fern Canyon (Permit Required), Gold Bluff's Beach are all within minutes of your front door. The beautiful Trinidad State Beach, Park, Trinidad Head Hike, and Strawberry Hill Hike are about 20 minutes south.

You can also see the Redwood forest on horseback where you can take a guided ride in the national park.

Water sport and fishing enthusiasts will enjoy visiting nearby Big Lagoon, Stone Lagoon, and Freshwater Lagoon, where you can kayak, swim, sail and fish. You can even Kayak down the Klamath River and fish. See our House Guide Book on how you can do this.

In the summer, Orick hosts the Orick Rodeo, a one of a kind rodeo sporting event. At nearby Patrick's Point State Park, the Yurok tribe hosts Summer Village Day, a celebration of Native American culture and customs.
