We had a fantastic time staying at miwa's place. She and Kohei were great hosts who very friendly and happy to have a chat. They lead a busy life so it never felt too crowded and we felt very comfortable and at home. Miwa organised a shuttle for us from Guatemala City and was happy to go the post office for me to pick up a package for me. We had a great stay!
Kohei welcomed us into his home which was really beautiful and peaceful. The set up with the common living space and kitchen worked really well with the other guests and you felt like you had plenty of room to relax. Excellent location and quiet in the evening. Highly recommended! Thanks
Casa Menta is a wonderful place to stay. The hosts are very welcoming and can help with any needs you may have in Antigua, like shuttle connections, places to eat, things to do.
Great location, clean, great kitchen with everything you need to cook if you want. Organic coffee, soap and shampoo. It is a home away from home.
This is the second time I have visited Antigua to study Spanish and chose to stay with Miwar and Kohei. They are both lovely people as is Jennifer who helps them at their beautiful home and in their new restaurant that opened last year. I would recommend staying here and the central area is excellent. My only concern is that since they now have a restaurant they work long hours and sometimes return late. I am a light sleeper and was woken on occasions. The night we were all out late was fun though so it depends on your sleep lifestyle. I recommend the restaurant also as Miwar is a good cook with an original style and Kohei and Jennifer are your attentive hosts.

About the Host, Miwa
I am from Tokyo, Japan and currently living in Antigua, Guatemala. I love traveling and meeting new people. I am open to any new ideas.
I was taking a year off to travel around the world starting from Canada, Mexico, Belize, and now in Guatemala. I just fell in love with Guatemalan and non-Guatemalan living in Antigua, beautiful buildings, fantastic natures, and the climate, so I stop traveling and started living here. Hope to share the wonderful experience with you!
