This is a large sunny queen-sized room with en-suite bathroom. The room has 2 large empty wardrobes. This bedroom is at the front of the building and so on Cheshire Street which means it is subject to the noise from the Sunday morning street market.
The double bedroom is also very bright and tidy bed-room with a double wall-bed, storage and french window into garden. There is a empty wardrobe with plenty of room to store and hang. The bathroom for the double room is not an en-suite but is entered from hall. Our garden backs onto a railway bridge/line- we hardly notice however should disclose! This bedroom has it worst as train-line is other side of garden wall.

We have a cleaner who comes in once a week.
We will provide clean bedding and towels for 6 guests.

Interaction with Guests
As much as guests want.
Markets on sunday, the abundance of restaurants, bars and galleries.
There is no smoking inside, however, there is an outside area. Only two people per room, unless one is an infant. This is our primary residence and so please treat home and neighbours with care and respect- no parties please!
If confirmed reservations could please let me know their arrival times at least a day before arrival that would be great, as we may have to leave keys somewhere for you!
We and our 4 grown (late teen to mid 20's) children stayed for over a week. It was comfortable and well-appointed. Everything was as described, and the entire process, from initial contact through key pickup/entry to departure, was smooth and seamless.
As advertised, the neighborhood is well served by public transportation. Depending on location we alternated between using Shoreditch High Street and Aldgate East tube stations. There's a variety of small shops and supermarkets to pick up necessities at short notice. And tons of restaurants. (The hosts of the curry houses toward the south end of Brick Lane can be quite pushy as you walk by which is either amusing or annoying depending on your mood!) Don't neglect to explore the other direction and onto Bethnal Green Road where there's a great kebab place just around the corner, and some Chinese places a little farther east.
We had no issue with noise from either the trains behind the house or the market (on Sundays), even though we found we needed to have the doors to the outside area open while we were there in the morning and evening as it was otherwise quite warm in the apartment. (There was one electric fan available for use).
All in all a great place to stay and I hope we'll be back!
We had a wonderful long weekend in Tom & Kiki apartment. The property easily accommodate six of us with plenty of room to spare, it really is as good as the photos look! The three bathrooms where a great bonus, no queues for the shower in the morning. The outside space is a real bonus, well maintained and perfect to relax in after a busy day. The location is perfect for exploring East London with its great restaurants and culture.
This was my first time truly exploring the east end and the location of the apartment made it so easy to do -- walking distance between awesome restaurants (still thinking about Andina and Albion), shops, and parks. The apartment looks exactly as shown in the photos -- clean, spacious, modern, and welcoming. There is indeed a train that passes by frequently, but even after staying in the room closest to the tracks, I can safely say that the sounds are not bothersome; it almost becomes ambient noise. The full kitchen + washer/dryer are definitely perks, too, especially during a long vacation. It's a bit of a trek if you're planning to head west frequently during your stay, but this is a great home base in a part of the city that doesn't feel so crowded/touristy; the neighborhood beams with its own distinct culture and energy. Great place to stay with a group of friends!
Fantastic stay in a brilliant apartment. Host was refreshingly flexible with check in/out times to suit our travel times. Cannot recommend enough!
This flat was better than expected. Very spacious, very comfortable and very well decorated and maintained. We spent 5 nights with our 2 children ages 7 & 5 as well as our parents...6 guests total and we were extremely comfortable. Entering on our own was a breeze with the very detailed instructions including photos via PDF that were emailed to us. There were even necessities in the kitchen already including olive oil, butter, water, spices, etc... Yes, the Overground train runs right behind the house, but the windows are double pained and the sound is minimal. The most noise came from other residents slamming the front door of the building which is right at the front door to the flat, but the kids were so exhausted every night, they slept right thru it. We LOVED staying in Shoreditch because of all the night life as well as DELICIOUS restaurants and awesome bars. A small grocery store is just a 5 minute walk as well. We HIGHLY recommend this flat to anyone traveling to London.
We enjoyed this cool London flat in an edgy London neighborhood, though a backed up toilet interfered with our ability to relax and enjoy the accommodations. Kiki was responsive and arranged for a plumber but they were not able to fix the problem until after we left.
Sincere apologies again that the plumber could not come on the same day. We truly hope that it was ok for you to use the remaining two bathrooms the last day? The issue has been resolved - again apologies that it could only be done after the weekend. We hope to see you again.
All the best
