Welcome to a beautifully renovated apartment in a modern style that very close to nature and only 17 minutes from downtown Stockholm.
The apartment is on the ground floor of a house and it is located in one of the best neighborhoods in Sweden, on the island of Lidingö, Stockholm. It has one bedroom with two single beds, that can be put together as a double bed, a kitchen, a living room and a bathroom with shower. If you travel by car there's a parking spot is available for you.
You can also enjoy our garden and why not have breakfast or dinner under the apple tree? If you like cycling, you can rent our bikes. We have a lady and a men's bike.
You have access to WiFI Internet and an Apple TV with Netflix installed for those nights when you just want to chill at home.
You're only minutes away from beautiful nature as well as being only 17 minutes away from Central Stockholm by public transit.
What makes this place special is the fact that the apartment is part of a classic Swedish house built in 1923. The walls are made from massive stone blocks that were placed by hand nearly one hundred years ago.
Continental breakfast can be arranged for a nominal fee.
We stayed at the apartment for a weekend in Stockholm and found it to be cosy, comfortable and tidy! Couldn't have asked for more! Elzbieta was quick to reply and was helpful. Thanks Elzbieta!
Elzbieta is very nice host. The apt is clean and comfortable. We had a great time in there. Highly recommended!
The apartment is wonderful and placed in a very calm and lovely part of Stockholm. It's not close to the center of the city but it's no problems to get there - bus and metro stations are very near and transfer doesn't take much time and efforts. The apartment has a beautiful yard with a lot of apple trees where you can have a breakfast or just relax. Also there is a place called Millesgården - spectacular park with sculptures in 15 minutes walk.
I'm happy to recommend Elzbieta's apartment. The apartment itself is lovely and very functional, and the location was convenient for 6 days of touring Stockholm.
My traveling companion and I were initially hesitant about staying in a residential area instead of near the more tourist-friendly downtown areas due to additional travel time and uncertainty about the public transportation, but neither of these proved to be an issue for us. The transportation in Stockholm was impressively punctual, reliable and simple to navigate. Elzbieta's apartment is a (very nice) 2-3 minute walk from a bus stop, and a 15 minute or so bus ride to the subway station. We enjoyed walking through the neighborhood and felt very safe.
The apartment is perfect for two people. Everything was in great condition and additional thoughtful details made us feel very welcome. The kitchen is equipped for light cooking, the main room is bright with natural light, and the bedroom is darker and very quiet--a plus for those who like to sleep in. Someone mentioned low ceilings which could be a problem for someone very tall, and at 5'9" we could reach up to touch it, but it was not an issue for us. We could barely hear that anyone lived above the apartment, and the apartment was private and quiet. The weather was very nice during our stay, so we weren't concerned with heat or cooling.
Elzbieta helped answer our questions about the apartment and about visiting Stockholm in a very timely and helpful manner. Checking in and out of the apartment couldn't have been simpler. Elzbieta was traveling for the duration of our stay so we were not able to meet her, but it was a pleasure to meet her son.
We highly recommend this apartment and Elzbieta as a host.
We had spend a nice time during our week-long vacancy staying in Elzbieta appartments. An apartments has anything to comfortably stay for two or three persons, located in very nice and quiet hilly district criss-crossed by side-streets and lanes full of apple and plum trees along. You can easily to choose (depending on your mood) to enjoy picturesque landscape of local Lidingö nature with nice forests, open farm lands and see shore or go to the city with all attraction that beautiful Stockholm can offers.
Elzbieta is exceptionally friendly host and this is nice to know that she lives a floor above and (even if you need nothing) you may count on to resolve any question in new place for you if it appears. We highly recommend to stay this appartments and Elzbieta as a host. And thank you and your family, Elzbieta, for small sweet surprises during our staying !
We really enjoyed our vacation in the flat. The flat is nice and there is a great garden outside to hang out. All you need is available including a good equiped kitchenette and a TV with an Apple TV with Netflix subscription.
The only downside have been the paper thin walls, where you're hearing a lot of sounds from the rest of the house. We also assume that the flat will be quite cold if it's not warm outside, but as we had perfect weather nearly the whole time, we've no experience with it.
Elzbieta is a great host, always helpful and up for a little chat.
We really enjoyed staying with Elzbieta! The apartment looks exactly like it does in the pictures. We thought Lidingo would be quite far from the centre of Stockholm but it really isn't! It took me only 20 minutes to get to T-centralen! It's very close to the bus and the funny little Lidingo train.
Elzbieta is very friendly and always up for a little chat. I would definitely recommend this place!!
The apartment is easy on the eye - very nice looking. The host is also very nice and I guess helps with anything she can. Based from our experience I assume the place is a great stay in the summer but not so in the winter. There is no central heating only one heater. The bathroom is very cold (since I had thermometer with me I know it was 13 C). If you're a traveling student(s) apartment will fit you well but we were a family with a little child (3 months) so we experienced various inconveniences.
The ceiling is very low. Me and my husband are not very tall (1.70 m & 1.83) but I scratched my finger knuckles at the ceiling every time I undressed (until I learned it :)), but my husband jumped heavily with his head while we played xBox (so I guess my lessons were more but easier :D). The beds are very squeaky so it was uncomfortable to turn every time (because guessing that we heard well when something was happening in the living room up our place we assumed that the same can be heard back).
The place has all the kitchen supplies to stay what was nice considering that we were more living there than just droping by.
The place is close to the island's center but not much happens there. If you will want to see something or visit, it's very accessible. There is a bus stop near apartment with the bus 206 that takes across the bridge and exactly at the same place across the bridge is a bus 76 that takes you to Skansen (place with many museums and other attractions) in about 15-30 min (based on the traffic). I went on the busiest hour and it took me 35 min from leaving to the museums (with a stroller) so didn't see the need for Metro.
A nice little in-law apartment in one of the best neighborhoods of Stockholm. A cozy bedroom that feels like carved into a mountain and a very beautiful shower with a natural stone floor.
Elzbieta and all of her family members welcomed me very nicely and were always easy to reach and super friendly.
The apartment is a lovely place in a very quiet peaceful area. Elzbieta was kind enough to get Netflix set up so there's a good choice of things to watch too. Would recommend.
