Jacqueline was a great host! Everything we needed was in the room and her place was very cozy. The location was very convenient for getting to mont saint michel - you can see it through the room window. She prepared a good breakfast for us in the morning as well. We arrived quite late in the night and Jacqueline stayed up to greet us at the door. I definitely recommend staying at her place!
The area is about 5km away from the Mt and that was good for our morning jog. It's also nice to walk around the house and see the Normandic scenery.
Dinner and breakfast were so good, especially local cheese and cidre were fantastic! We're looking forward to visiting there again.
We were visiting Mont St Michel with another couple
And requested to stay here. It was perfect. We each had our own room with en-suite bathrooms. Jacquie was so welcoming that it felt like you were staying with a relative. We arrived just in time to see the sheep running by the house on their way home. What a sight to behold! The house is absolutely beautiful. It is an adorable and historic French farmhouse. The bedrooms and bathroom appear newly renovated but fit in with the historic style of the house. We went out to dinner at Aubergine just down the street (which had delicious local food and cider, though the cheese assortment was pungent). When we returned home, we enjoyed a bottle of wine (Jacquie has a few bottles for sale) which was convenient and a nice way to end the night. My husband and I look forward to returning in a few years as it seems like a fun place to stay with your family. Thank you Jacquie and Jim!
After a long, LONG day of traveling... we were greeting by a warm cottage, an absolutely perfect meal, and a charming host, Jacqueline. It was exactly what we needed for a group who was tired, cold, jet lagged, and 3 of 4 suffering from a winter cold. It is just a few miles to Mt St Michel (and their new parking/shuttle area) and the perfect spot (with a lovely view of the Mount) to unwind before tackling the attraction.
We can not say enough good things about Jacqueline and her beautiful home. She was very responsive to our questions and was more than willing to take the time and tell us a little bit about the area. The place is amazing! An old converted farm house that Jacqueline and her Husband have converted into the perfect Normandy farm house. If you're planning on seeing Mont St Michel, stay here! You can see the Abby from the room!
Jacqueline was the perfect host--very interested ahead of time about our particular needs. She even gave advice about the famous tides in the area. The location was minutes from the parking lot of Mont St. Michel --we could see Mont St. Michel out of our bedroom window. We originally told her we would not need dinner but when we got back from Mont St Michel we were a bit hungry and asked Jacqueline for a cheese plate. She made a lovely platter of cheese and bread. The breakfast the next day was hearty and generous as well. The room for 3 of us was comfortable and toasty with Christmas tree lit up and decorated downstairs. Absolutely picturesque. ..obviously Jacqueline has been hosting guests for years because she is a pro!

We originally bought the house as a holliday home, but the more we came the more we fell in love with the place, so decided to retire early and enjoy a simpler way of life. on paper that sounds great , but in reality, we soon became board, after a lady came to the door for help, in finding some where to stay, it struck me that maby i coud offer bed and breakfast stays? id worked with people all my life, and run my own hair and beauty buisness for 21 years, and thats how it started, and i absolutly love it, meeting people from all over the world, all walks of life, and would not change a thing.
