About this listing
Try something different. Sleep aboard a beautiful sailboat during your stay in Los Angeles.
I used Airbnb for my trip to Paris and had a great experience. I said to my wife, "Wouldn't it be cool for someone to stay aboard Leilissima while they're in LA?" She thought that would be great too. So here you are...
I'm inviting you to stay on our sailboat, Leilissima. She is a 35" Fuji Ketch in Marina Del Rey. That is the only harbor in West Los Angeles (the part of LA you want to be anyway when you come to town.) She is docked at Bar Harbor. That means you can use the amenities of the property... swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna room, full bathroom facilities. It's quite nice there.
Leilissima is not a huge yacht but very comfortable with 6'2'' headroom and sleeping room for 6, though it's really only fun for 2 or 3 (see the cabin layout in the photos). It has hot water, a stove and oven, small bathroom aboard (pump toilet) and hand shower. Though when I stay overnight I usually use the bathroom facilities on shore about 45 seconds away.
What I love most about Leilissima is how romantic it is. A mahogany cabin with either electric or super romantic kerosene brass lanterns light the room in a golden glow. Sitting in the cockpit or sharing the hammock in the evening with the fresh clear ocean air can't be beat. Falling asleep while listening to the little fish splash nearby. Quite nice.
Famous shopping, movies, theatre, restaurants, bike riding, sailing, surfing, mountain hiking, star gazing (both kinds), and quiet relaxing... all minutes away. Really!
Marina Del Rey is near everything you want to be near in Los Angeles. Santa Monica is about 10 minutes away by car, 25 minutes by bike. Beverly Hills and West Hollywood are about 20 minutes by car and 40 minutes by bike, unless it's rush hour when its 60 minutes by car but still 40 minutes by bike ;-). Hollywood is about 30 minutes away, Downtown about 30. The beach is a block away and the fabulous beach bike path which runs 22 miles up and down the coast is seconds away.
Let me know if you have any questions!
