About this listing
Because this is such a unique property we get a wide range of inquiries for family reunions and celebrations of one kind or another. We are willing to discuss this with you as long as they fall within the quidelines required by the Town of Concord.
This wonderful flowing farmland and 1905 Concord estate is perfect for weddings, receptions and other celebratory events. It also works nicely for photoshoots, music videos and movie sets. While it is on the market, we rarely rent ahead more than 3 months.
Great as a retreat, writers workshop, room for yoga, group dinners and sanctuary in the country, river and forest trails of New England.
While we cannot make reservations more than three or four months in advance, it works well with a tent and caterers with ample parking, access to a large open kitchen and space to roam. While this is intended primarily for outdoor events, the home has large open spaces to provide respite from the music or weather.
(disclosure..the house is on the market and any event must have a permit by the town, and rentals for overnight should be 30 day minimums.)
This rolling field of 40 acres leads directly down to a peninsula and a dock to the Sudbury River. Pontoons and canoes pass by from the North Bridge Boat House. We have had local guests arrive by kayak!
The photo opportunities are many with large sculptures and flowers and the changing foliage .
There are three patios and a large screened porch as well with a gracious flow.
If you rent in the winter, for a holiday party, there are three downstairs fireplaces and several different seating areas on the ground floor to break into different groups. There is a large kitchen with a huge island where people can sit, a living room with a large coffee table, a dinning room with another large table and a studio with another large table for eating.
The price may very depending on numbers , age and inside or outside.
This does not include the upstairs...its for an event . Preference is for mature groups.....we have been through children and the college party phrase already!!
The entire house and lawn are available for the rental and parking is extensive. The home includes the land in front of the house, and down to the river. The area on the other side leads to 40 acres of conservation land.
Interaction with guests
We are not there, but we can be very involved with helping organize what you need for your event, during your rental period. We provide access to cleaners and care taking and errands if you are from out of town.
We are on the river, near walking trails and farm land and great restaurants. Yet while surrounded by meadows and countryside, you are only one mile from Concord Center.
There is a train one mile away, subway stop with parking is 20 minutes away.
Other things to note
Tents and Caterers usually obtain the event permit. This house has been the site of a wide range of events and is well suited for large gatherings, photography and privacy.
no underage drinking
careful with sound so neighbors are not disturbed late into the night
all outdoor trash picked up and not included in the cleaning fee
The town of concord requires me to rent for a minimum of thirty days.
Parking needs to be on my property and not blocking the driveway in any way.
Neighbors comfort is most important.

As a couple we love to travel, meet new people and explore new ideas. We would be called early adopters. We spent the first years of our married life renovating and creating spaces..love to collect architectural salvage and make it into something.
Now we are exploring innovative ways to have social impact.
While network seems a trivial term, we not only know a lot of people but love to connect them in useful ways. We have found this site an unexpected way to discover like minded people and in some cases, have become friends.
