Also worth visiting the Iberian village of Les Toixoneres (5th to 2nd centuries BC), which is currently known as the Iberian Citadel of Calafell and which has been rebuilt and the atmosphere reconstructed so that visitors can conjure up the civilization which inhabited the area 2,500 years ago.
The superb geographical location of Calafell, with its excellent transport connections and its numerous social and cultural attractions, make Calafell an excellent place to visit.
WORTH VISITING outside Calafell
The Penedés region has been making waves not only for its famed cava production (Spanish sparkling wine), but also for its rich variety in white and red wines. The landscape in the Penedés is warm and gentle, bathed in a golden Mediterranean light, and marked by the many civilizations that passed through or settled the area. Thus, the region is also a place of fascinating historical wealth, traceable through the architectural landmarks left behind by ancient Romans, medieval monks and modernist masters.
Tarragona 'the Balcony of the Mediterranean' is, owing to the Romans, arguably the most elegant city of the Iberian peninsula.
The Roman ruins of Tarragona have been designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
In Vendrell (Sant Salvador de Comarruga, 10 minutes by car) you could visit the Pau Casals Auditorium where there’re concerts of classis music, jazz, etc., and where you could visit the Museum of the great artist from Catalonia.
Amusement Parks Port Aventura & Aqualeon.

Have a nice stay
Montse was lovely and the apartment was great. You share an entrance but Montse didnt mind and neither did we. Strong shower, good kitchen, great location, and huge roof terrace with amazing views; great for eating dinner on while the sun goes down.
C'est un appartement très confortable, lumineux, ensoleillé et aéré, dont chaque fenêtre est munie de moustiquaire très efficace;
We stayed in the loft for some days while visiting Calafell and surroundings.
Montse and Nat are very gentle, nice, considerate and polite.
The loft is nice, quiet and confortable. No problems for cooking.
We recommend to other hosts!
Thanks you for the visit :)
Its only about 10mins walk up from the station and the beach, such a lovely place welcomed me in Calafell poble. As you see in pictures, the room was clean and tidy, very comfortable. The church bells surprised me on the first night, but soon it became a part of my pleasant stay. A good time has passed fast in a festive mood including quiet siesta, while counting bells sometimes, exchanging greetings with local people, going down to platja and back, or watching swallows' air-show high above the castle. And thanks to Natascha, who has a wonderful personality, cheerful, warm and openhearted, as does her mother, here I have, a truly memorable summer. I was very touched, indeed :)
Я проживала у Наташи в доме с дочерью два месяца. Все полностью соответсвует описанию.Очень красивый сад во дворе.
