The apartment is just as wonderfull as the pictures show. Comunication with Marissa was perfect at all times. Upper East Side is such a nice place!! We spend an amazing month in NYC at a lot of it was thanks to Marissa and her apartment!
Marissa met us promptly as agreed and took time to walk us through the apartment, understand the wifi, kitchen, etc. It was immaculate. We couldn't ask for more. Her charming manner made us feel like old friends and we had a lovely stay.
We had a great time at Marissa's place and if the space is available we will be contacting Marissa in our future trip to the city.
Very welcoming, wonderful experience , in a unique part of NY. The apartment was very clean and well appointed and perfect for our stay.
We spent three days in Marissa's apartment in September 2014. Marissa met us at the apartment and gave a a thorough briefing on the apartment, local restaurants, good places to run, etc.
The apartment is located about four blocks from the subway which makes all of Manhattan easily accessible. In the general neighborhood, there are lots of great restaurants, grocery stores and local places to hang out. We loved the neighborhood. As an added benefit, there is a Hertz rental car place across the street, which allowed us to go onto our final part of our trip when we needed a car.
The apartment is well furnished and comfortable. It is on the six floor, in a back location, and is very quiet. Bed was very comfortable. Nice cable TV and WiFi set up. The bathroom is on the small side, but worked for the two of us just fine.
All in all, this is a great alternative to a hotel. Price is reasonable (for NYC), great neighborhood location, and Marissa did a good job making us feel welcome and well briefed.
Marissa was great!
She met my husband and I at her apartment when we arrived. She took the time to explain everything about the place and the neighborhood and made us feel right at home.
The space was well maintained and super clean with plenty of back up linens and towels which was great.
Unfortunately our visit was for medical reasons involving surgery so it was important to us to have a quiet place, convenient to the hospital. Marisa's place was absolutely perfect. We could walk everywhere we needed to and the neighborhood had everything we needed to buy, eat and drink really close by.
Great person to work with and a great apartment to call home when you're visiting the city!
About the Host, Marissa
I grew up in New York City. I love my apt very much, it is so quiet and peaceful. It is like a retreat. Each of my quests loved staying here, and many have been back and have also sent there relatives and friends.
