About this listing
By far the best area to stay in Brighton, 6 minnutes walk from the station and 10 minutes from the very centre of Brighton. Seven Dials is packed with bars, pubs, cafes and a HUGE variety of restaraunts for all tastes and budgets. The flat is my home and I often get compliments about the 'feel' to it - homely and welcoming, it should make you feel instantly at ease and ready to enjoy your visit! Am always on hand to advise and recomend places to go and visit, you won't be bored! Come and enjoy!
This whole flat with two double bedrooms is available to rent FULLY furnished Jan -April 2016. Contact me for more info.
Please note over bank holidays and the Brighton Fringe Festival there is a £10 supplement charge per night.
Location, location, location...with the sea a 10 min stroll away, the station 6 minutes and town 8 this is the best spot in town - WITH OFF STREET PARKING (you won't need any cabs and i'll leave maps and a guidebook to explore the city with by foot) The train station is just down the road (literally) and buses run from outside the front door to all parts of town and Hove.
The flat is very airy and bright catching the all day sun from East to West. The Cosy front room with fire and independent art is free for you to use when I'm not working in it, seperate kitchen to use, seperate WC and seperate bathroom (massive bath and I provide towels) and large bright double room which catches the morning light. There is a washer dryer if you need it and seagulls just outside to remind you where you are.
Seven Dials is the "village" of Brighton with enough within spitting distance if you just want to pop out for a late night drink with live music or for Japanese, Thai, award winning roasts, sausage and mash or just a stroll to the local Deli, but close enough to "the main strip" if you want to vist the famous North and South Laines (10 min walk) etc.
Its home to me and I hope its a wonderful break full of culture and fun for you! You won't want to stay in for breakfast with whats on the door step here (fry up for £3 practically next door.....) but i'll leave a DIY (Do It Youself) breakfast of tea, coffee, cereal, milk, toast, crumpets and my famous home made English marmelade etc. just in case you can't make it that far. Enjoy!
Kitchen, bathroom and WC, lounge when I'm not there (I work from Home) and there is a TV in the bedroom.
Where possible I'll always try to check guests in myself and check them in but to accom date arrival times sometimes I'll leave the keys for collection and send instruction...I'll always be in touch before arrival to determine how I'll check them in.
Once checked in I tend to let guests makes themselves at home and enjoy their holiday, I'm always on hand in person or on the phone if I'm needed and can often help with restaurant recommendations and bookings etc. Generally I tend to be out much of the time.
Walking distance to everything, friendly and typically very Brighton with every type of person and shop you could honk of on your doorstep!
Train station is 6 minute walk and buses leave outside the front door to all parts of brighton and Sussex.
I just ask that shoes come off at the front door, the room is left as you find it, wash up after you use anything in the kitchen, hang your towels up when they're wet on the radiators (not the doors), there is no curfew come and go as you please I just ask that you're quiet coming in late or going out early as I will be too. :)
Sarah was a lively friendly host. The apartment was in a perfect location about 10 min walk to the centre and 15 to the pier. Seven Dials also has great shops, pubs and restaurants! The apartment was lovely and clean and our room very spacious- it was a little noisy at night though which took a while to get used to. I loved all the person touches and art around the apartment- we got some inspiration for our own place! Breakfast was kindly left each morning. Would definitely visit again :-)
I felt very welcome. The flat is near the railway station and the neighbourhood is really nice with some shops and pubs. It was a great place to stay. Sarah was great and gave me some recommondations for Brighton.
We felt very welcome. Sarah apartment is very cozy and well located.
We liked the neighborhood, it takes few minutes to walk down town and to the beach. There are also very nice parks nearby.
Brighton is beautiful and we really liked our stay.
Eva and Georg.
We felt very welcome. The house was exactly what we were expecting, a lovely flat in an excellent location. Only 10 minutes walk to the town centre. We would definitely stay there again.
Sarah has a pleasant personality, made us feel welcome, and set up a TV in our room as well as providing a connection for recharging our mobile.
The flat and room are attractive though our room overlooked a street that carries a fair amount of traffic, including buses. The flat is near the railway station and some shops.
We were disappointed about an important aspect, though - the breakfast. Sarah had bought rice cakes and soya milk for my wife's allergies and we did not mind her saying we should make our own breakfast. We are not acquainted with Airbnb's policy on this though our previous experience of B&B's had led us to expect a prepared meal. On the other hand, we were free to use the (tiny) kitchen for self-catering.
But we were disappointed at not - we had booked and stayed for five nights-- being given any fruit or eggs. Only carbs (bread and rice cakes) and sugar-laden jam/preserves. We bought our own peanut butter, cheese, ham, fruit.
The accommodation could be improved by allowing space for suitcases under the bed (this space was already taken by Sarah's possessions) or a shelf for suitcases between bottom of the bed and wall.
Stayed at Sarah's house while in Brighton for a 60th party. It was close to venue about 15mins walk so very central.
Saw Sarah who welcomed us and made us feel at ease. Made our breakfast next day (cereal & Toast) which was ample.
Room was fine but a little noisy in the evening as facing the main road. Being able to park a car was a huge bonus. Would stay again if in Brighton.
