About This Listing
The Cappuccini Residence is located in the town of Spello. This small town, an ancient Roman colony, is one of the most beautiful towns in Italy. Visiting the old town will seem to relive the splendor of the ancient Roman Julia Colony. Visit the numerous Etruscan and Roman monuments, churches and fresco works by important painters, among which the Cappella Baglioni work by Pinturicchio that stands out in the Santa Maria Maggiore Church.
Continuing your experience, we advise you to immerge yourselves in the colours and scents of the narrow streets full of flowers, the same colours that you will find in the countryside surrounding the historical town center. One of the most beautiful streets where you can enjoy a breath-taking view of the surrounding valley, with Assisi and Perugia in the background, is Via Cappuccini. Our property is located and takes its name from this same street. At just a short walk from the apartment you can reach the main attractions.
During the "Manifestazione delle Infiorate" Flower Festival & Exhibition, you will be able to see the "flower carpets" laid out on the street before you, from the apartment’s windows. Our apartments are accessed through one of the most characteristic stone entrances in the town in which we have created just the right relaxing atmosphere for your stay.

The three Residenzi de Cappucini apartments are in a spectacular location in the small village of Spello known for it's flower window boxes. We were booked in the Saio apartment which was lovely but as others have mentioned it was like being in a wine cellar as it's all stone and musty smelling. After expressing my concern we were moved the following night to the Sandalo which I would highly recommend. It's a one bedroom apartment and was a completely different feel than the Saio - more windows and lots of light on the second floor. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Sandalo. The maid also showed us the Tau which seemed even darker and mustier than the Saio.
We enjoyed Spello a lot because it is a beautiful little town. We were not able to reach Monia when we arrived, so we ended up walking to our lodgings which was quite challenging. Breakfast was also advertised, which we did not receive. The lodgings are quite quaint and clean. Internet was good.
Spello was a highlight of our Umbria self-drive holiday, and Monia's place was great. Perfect, infact. Highly recommended.
Our stay here was so amazing. The apartment is beautiful and spacious with everything you need. Monia met us here and offered great recommendations for the area. She and her husband were very quick to help out and answer any questions we had. They are working so hard and doing such a great job as hospitable hosts. I can't wait to return to the beautiful town of Spello and to stay at this charming place. Thank you!
The host met us to show us around the apartment (and was very gracious about having to wait for us for quite a while when we got a little lost trying to find the rendezvous spot in historic Spello). The apartment was utterly charming, with stone walls and a lovely little courtyard for private use. The location was very special, on one of the prettiest medieval streets in one of the most extraordinarily lovely historic hill towns in Italy. The apartment was quite spacious, more than it appears in the photos. The bed was very comfortable and the place was very quiet, but it's close to a couple of excellent restaurants and to a couple of extraordinary overlooks viewing the surrounding valley.
About the Host, Monia
