We had a great stay at the cabin. Burton Hall is an impressive building and the cabin is spacious, well equipped, nicely decorated and offers great views of the lovely surroundings. Jean was very welcoming and helpful and even surprised us with a cream team waiting for us in the …
We had a lovely peaceful stay at the cabin, such a secluded spot but within easy walking distance of the shops and pubs. The cabin had all the facilities we needed and the cream tea was such a nice welcome! It is worth mentioning that because there wasn’t a door on the bedroom it…
The Cabin is small and cute but plenty big enough for a comfortable stay. Burton Hall itself is a very interesting building with a colourful history by all accounts and a lovely garden with commanding views. Jean was very hospitable and amenable to helping us out. My son was att…
Response from Jean:
Pleased that everything worked out for your son at the Sculpture School which is very near to us. Glad you enjoyed the peace and quiet and local walks. As with lots of small towns and villages local pubs and food can be quite variable. Hopefully found the lovely fish & chip shop and Kirsty's cafe. There are a couple of excellent pubs a very short drive away which guests have rated. Would be very happy for you to come and stay again.
We really enjoyed the cosy Cabin. Nicely furnished and with a wood burner too the evenings were lovely. Handy for lots of places to go during the days. We only stayed 2 nights but had a great time and may well come back.

Pleased you enjoyed your stay, it was good to meet you both. We look forward to you visiting again one day. Jean
Warm and friendly welcome. We could use a private microwave (which is normally not provided) to heat the food of our baby. Excellent location and lovely scones upon arrival.
Martin and I moved to Burton Hall in 2013 from Bristol where we had lived for over 30 years. We decided we needed a project and adventure for our retirement! We are loving the peace and quiet of the Devon countryside. The Cabin is our first venture into holiday letting and we ho…
