REVIEW HOUSE MANUAL UPON BOOKING!
We are an older homey family home in a residential neighborhood (Alternate side of the street parking rules) less than 1 mile from most all of SU.
Your room has a comfy king bed, dresser and desk.
Help yourself to coffee, tea, juice, yogurt, granola and fruit.
Ask about the bike!
HOUSE MANUAL provides access instructions! We are a "Self Check in". Reach out if you need any help. Our goal is that you feel comfortable, at home.

The space
(THIS ROOM DOES NOT ACCOMMODATE MORE THAN 2, BUT WE HAVE ANOTHER ROOM AVAILABLE. THIS IS THE ONLY WAY TO MAKE THIS INFO AVAILABLE DUE TO AIRB&B WEBSITE CONSTRAINTS. On occasion, If we don't have a full house, we allow a third for a fee.)
Easy access to all of Syracuse University. Both the main campus and South Campus are a mile from the house. The Dome is about a mile from the house. It is all within walking distance.
Please, no 3rd party bookings.

Guest access
Guests have access to the whole house: a full bathroom, the kitchen, and the washer and dryer. Use it as you might if you were staying with family. While we are not a full function service kitchen we will make sure there are essentials available to you in the kitchen.

Please be respectful of any possessions left in common areas or in the bedrooms that are not yours.

Other things to note
We have a friendly caged birds (cockatiel and canaries). The house heat is set up for working people. In other words, the heat goes on early so the house is warm while we get ready to go to work. It goes down about 8:30 am until 3:30 pm when it warms back up. It drops down again at 10:30 pm. Each room has a stand alone heater. Please feel free to use it to make yourself comfortable. If you are going to stay home during the day just let me know and I will make sure that the house stays warm for you.
If you are traveling with a dog we will want to know details, like if you plan to leave the dog unattended what is the plan! Let us know and we will figure it out. While we want to welcome all, we reserve the right to decline guests with pets.

The Westcott / University neighborhoods proximity to Syracuse University makes for a diverse community, with many of its residents being Syracuse University students, many international, and others being more lower-income to middle class permanent residents. Westcott Street is the colorful main retail street of the neighborhood, and it features restaurants and stores. Once a year the neighborhood is home to the Westcott Street Cultural Fair. Westcott is home to Thornden Park, one of the largest parks in Syracuse. The Westcott neighborhood is the boyhood home of renowned banjoist Tony Trischka
We have the Syracuse Coop just down the street, about 3 blocks away. You can get a lot of healthy groceries there, great cheeses, local roasted coffee and local brewed beer. There is a Tops, a more conventional grocery store in the neighborhood.

Scroll down this page to see all my listings on the bottom left. I'm a pragmatic, crunchy granola woman who tries to focus on being mindful, compassionate, optimistic, and health-oriented. I recently completed a dual masters program. I enjoyed the walk to campus (SU and ESF) even on the snowy days. I like birding, hiking (9 high peaks so far!), backpacking, cycling, and bike touring. I'm a Cancer-Leo cusp with Capricorn rising and an ESFJ. If that doesn't mean anything to you that's ok! I'm generally very sociable with a need to create a personal family-like atmosphere...but when the mood suits me I like to get my own things done. So I may be around and talk or I may be in and out...either way, I like to please and make sure everyone has a good experience. If you were to have a concern or worry that will cause you to have less than a 5-star experience let me know so we can fix it!
