About This Listing
Camp out in an urban artist space that feels like a cottage in the woods, and receive complimentary breakfast or lunch each day. The gas stove is on and keeping my urban cottage toasty! Located in the Pilsen neighborhood, at the Heart of Chicago.
Located in the Pilsen neighborhood, at the Heart of Chicago, a thriving artists' scene. One block from Museum, Art Galleries, CTA Pink Line and bus lines to take you anywhere in the city.
My favorite element is the forested view of large trees in the back yard which create a feeling of being in a tree house or camp lodge in the heart of the city.
Plus, I throw in a complementary meal each day to make sure you feel nourished and comfortable.
1 small bedroom with leather convertible sofa bed.
Queen size futon in the living room.
"French size" refrigerator, and antique gas stove heater.
Full Kitchen with stove and refrigerator.
Counter top dining with stools. I run an independent apothecary business, and LOVE to cook, so the kitchen may appear a bit like a wizard's lab.
No Smoking, and be courteous to my neighbors, please keep quiet hours from music etc from 1am to noon.
Aaron did a really great job of responding to questions promptly via text. The apartment itself was exactly as listed and pictured. I really enjoyed the neighborhood that this apartment is situated in, it's quaint and colorful. The location was also very convenient, given that it was just a few blocks away from the subway (pink line).
Yet another great airbnb experience! Aaron was an excellent host and made us feel very welcome. He is quick to reply to messages, phone calls, and text messages at any point before and during your stay.
The apartment is located in the Pilsen district. The Pink train is only a couple blocks away and the neighborhood has an endless supply of restaurants, convenient stores, and bars. We felt safe our entire stay and transportation around the city is an ease.
Aaron's apartment is clean, neat, and full of goodies. We listened to records in the morning as we prepared for our day and fell asleep watching Netflix on his projector.
The only negative thing I can think of is the bed is a full size. This could work for a single person, but if you're sharing the bed with your significant other, I hope you're ready for some mandatory cuddling and spooning. So I guess that makes it a positive!
Aaron was very nice and helpful. He gave us a warm welcome and came by as soon as we needed him if necessary.
The apartment was as depicted in the website and exactly as in the pictures : a great warm place.
We really enjoyed our stay there and we loved Chicago !!
Regarding the city, I strongly recommend to go the Field Museum if you like history and wanna know more about the strong past of Chicago, and also the Lincoln Park Zoo which is huge and FREE !
This was my first airbnb experience, and a very positive one! The apartment is clean and comfortable, and Pilsen is a great neighbourhood to explore, with friendly people and great food. The el station is right around the corner, so transportation to downtown and to the airport was very easy. Aaron was full of helpful suggestions about local Mexican food, which was a highlight of the trip for us. Also, be sure to check out the National Museum of Mexican Art, which is less than two blocks away, and well worth seeing.
