Steps away from the beach, wifi, bbq, a real fireplace, and parking. Its in Kitsilano which is walking distance on the seawall to Granville Island. UBC is a short drive or nice bike to the west. Kits swimming pool is also right beside the beach - its the size of 4 swimming pool and is salt water. Lots of shopping and restaurants on 4th ave, just up the street.
wifi, city bike, washer/dryer, deck, beach towels.
Amy was the ideal host. She provided useful tips and details in a welcome email, and was incredibly helpful answering specific questions. It felt like we were staying at a friend's place! Her condo is clean, beautifully decorated, and had all the amenities we could have hoped for including a fireplace and scrabble for time in on a cold night. The location is in the heart of Kitsilano, and we could walk lots of places or easily take the bus. Next time we visit Vancouver, we'll hopefully get to stay here again!!
My stay was fabulous.
It was exactly what I was expecting. ONLY BETTER!
Great location. I am hoping to go back!
Fabulous space. Thanks!
We loved saying in Kits Beach and Amy's apartment is ideally located. We had bicycles and there are several bicycle routes that lead in all directions, 5 minutes to Kits pool (which I strongly recommend if you like to swim), 10 minutes to downtown, 20 to Stanley Park, 30 to to the Seabus to North Vancouver or a nice leisurely ride along the bay west to UBC. Weather was perfect for cycling the entire time that we were there. The apartment was spotless and we made a nice light breakfast before venturing out every day. It was nice to come backto such a comfortable bed every night. Had a chance to meet Amy's terrific brother and sister and they were very helpful getting us moved in and collecting the keys when we left. Thanks for everything Amy. Everything worked out almost perfectly.
For bicyclists that want to spend some time in the city, Vancouver is great. nice trails, and bike lanes. You can take bikes on most if not all forms of transportation. (We came over from Vancouver Island/Swartz bay on the ferry and was able to put our bikes on bus for the ride up to Vancouver, when you get off the ferry, get your bike on a bus right away; there are limited slots available 2 per bus and 2 buses per hour, an express and a local). Vancouver is great for training because it has lots of mild climbs and some challenging ones on the North Shore.
We loved the proximity to the beach and the apartment was quite comfortable with a great fireplace and comfy couch. We had a great time using the patio and BBQ and hanging out as a family. We were disappointed that we could not find a very good coffee shop, we do have very high expectations mind you. That being said there was a lot near by in terms of coffee and food. The apartment was clean and inviting. Decorated quite nicely with great photos and modern furniture. It was easy to enjoy the apple T.V. Thanks to Amy for the nice stay!
