This is a true Penthouse with 2 levels on the 38th and 39th floors. There's not another 2 BR in Waikiki like this. You will never forget your stay in this Penthouse. And, the price is less than many hotel rooms in Waikiki. It's an amazing value. Ask about last minute specials as well.

You enter the lower level on the 38th floor to a beautiful foyer. To your left is the enormous living room, dining room and kitchen. The kitchen is highly upgraded with granite counter tops, flat top range and all high end accessories including blender, rice cooker, Cuisinart toaster and coffee maker, commercial quality cookware and even a champagne ice bucket and glasses.

The living room features two full length couches, a huge, 65" flat screen TV and free Wireless Internet. Professionally decorated with gorgeous Elephant Bamboo furniture.

To your right, is the downstairs second bedroom suite with full bath with rain shower and full size washer dryer. The second bedroom suite can have either two twins or one king with genuine Hawaiian quilt comforter.

Upstairs, is the sumptuous Master Suite. This is an enormous suite of over 500 square feet including private bath with rain shower. Full walk in closet as well and beautiful Elephant bamboo furniture.

The second bedrooms is equipped with complete allergen eliminating bed and pillow casings. These are fully breathable but eliminate any passage of molds, allergens, dust mites or liquids. You'll be sleeping on the cleanest beds and pillows in Hawaii. No hotel at any price offers this.

The views are magical as well with over 54 feet of floor to ceiling windows in the Penthouse. There's also a large, 36 foot lanai running the length of the Penthouse where you can enjoy the views, sip your morning coffee, have a meal or enjoy some champagne under the moonlight.

The normal rate in 2013 is $399/night and we are offering a discounted rate for $329/night on Airbnb, with parking fee of $12/night if needed and cleaning fee of $200, plus Hawaiian tax at 13.962%. In addition, there is a $500.00 refundable damage deposit required(will be returned after checking out).

  • Booked this property for a 7 day stay, and it was exactly what we wanted.
    Great place to chill out and relax after a day of shopping, relaxing at the beach or checking out the island sights.
    Bedrooms had plenty of room for our luggage, the bed and some chairs to relax in.
    The kitchen was a modest size, but had all the necessary equipment to cook if you wanted.
    Was also provided with beach towels, a boogie board and lilo.
    Appreciated the big screen tv and cable channels.
    Check-in was a simple process and took about 1 min. The staff were very helpful in providing bus route information and local know-how.
    One block away from the beach, its central in Waikiki, surrounded by options for food. Local grocery store was 2 blocks down and easy to find.
    Local bus stop is right outside the door, and security is 24/7.
    One of the lifts was out-of-order for our entire stay, but didn't impact at all on the availability of the remaining lift. We never had to wait.
    The wind outside did make the doors and window seals on the balcony whistle. Although it did not bother any of us, if you are sensitive to sound at night, this will probably bug you.
    And occasionally their where loud knocks or bangs through the wall which did not last long. But couldn't tell if it was plumbing, the elevator repairs or neighbors.
    Also if you have your own music device (ie. ipod etc), then you should take mobile speakers if you want to play your sounds... they don't have a ipod friendly sound system.
    But overall, we really enjoyed our stay and our contact, Penny, was awesome. She provided everything we needed to know to make our check-in process seamless and smooth. Really appreciated all of her help.
    Would absolutely recommend this place, and next time i'm in Hawaii, this is the first place i'd look at booking again!

  • This was a great location centrally located. Easy for the boys to go out and take a walk on their own or for us to head out by ourselves. We loved the two floors and the spaciousness of the rooms. We enjoyed the every changing views to the mountain side of Waikiki. We easily ate in breakfast after grocery shopping a couple blocks away. All the supplies we expected were there. Host was patient with us as we navigated the various steps in the process of our first AirBnB transaction!

  • Great apartment. Very helpful and accommodating host. The location of the apartment is perfect. While I have stayed at Waikiki several times before, I have never had an apartment overlooking the mountains. It is simply a stunning outlook.

    The apartment contains everything that is needed when traveling with a young family.

  • We were a party of 2 families, with 2 small toddlers. We were excited about our 2-bedroom "penthouse" condo in Waikiki! Much to our dismay, when we walked into the place, we discovered that the master bedroom was technically a loft space. It had an opening to the downstairs living room through which every little sound carried. So, whenever our daughter had naptime or bedtime, everyone had to be on eggshells and be super quiet. NOT COOL. Be warned, if you sleep in the master bedroom, there is literally no privacy as anyone in the living room will hear what you are doing. If we had known about this detail, we never would have rented.

    To add insult to injury, the building was working on elevator maintenance on the roof which involved some sort of drilling and hammering directly above us throughout the day. Again, another detail that was left out. The maintenance people said they would be working on it for the next year or so!

    In terms of the actual condo, it is old, dingy, and very dated. Must have been great in the early 80's when it first came on the scene (goes for the whole building), but hasn't been updated since. You'll need to stock the kitchen if you plan on doing any cooking. The airbnb description says high end accessories and commercial quality cookware - LOL!!! Also, the towels are old and hard. The kind your parents still use from your childhood.

    Finally, I can honestly say that the owner was the most inhospitable and condescending host we have ever dealt with. I made some attempts to contact him (it said on the contract to contact him if we needed anything) because we were trying to arrange an earlier checkin time to coordinate a delivery of a portable crib. We traded 3 messages, the last ending with, "this is why I will never again accommodate people's request because it causes me time, money, and aggravation. This isn't a hotel, you're getting a 2000 sq ft condo for less of a price than a hotel. I'm tired and frustrated, this is adding a lot of unnecessary time and possibly expense to the whole thing."

    Next time we are staying in the resorts.

  • Great location, and great condo. Everything they said was there, was there. penny was great in pre-arrival, making sure we knew where to collect the key etc. in terms of condo block, and you want to stay fit, the Fitness Centre is very run down and nothing works.
    Overall, this would be my only negative.

  • Penny's apartment was just as portrayed on Airbnb. It was exactly what we wanted. Just a stroll away from everything we needed. We had an awesome holiday in Hawaiian. The contact person in the tour office could have been more information friendly. There was an Hawaiian tax that wasn't very well explained to us - thought this was covered by airbnb but it was a separate charge.

  • This is the first time I booked lodging through Airbnb so I was a little worried at first. Penny made the entire process so easy from start to finish and the place was gorgeous! Fantastic view and well maintained facilities, easy access to Waikiki beach, restaurants and many shops you will enjoy. Only a little trouble we had was parking because our rental car was too tall to fit into the garage in the building. We had to find parking nearby and it costed quite a bit. If you have large car, you probably want to check in advance. Overall it was a great experience.

  • Excellent and well appointed apartment in a great location with superb views on both levels. The apartment is spacious and clean. It has a great view over the mountain, especially at night. It is very comfortable and climate controlled in a very secure building. I would recommend it as a great place for a family or two couples.

  • Great location and very spacious. Easy checkin/checkout. Definitely has the Hawaiian feel.

    Penny and the onsite management were easy to work with as well.
