Enjoy a unique stay surrounded by nature at the Birdhouse! Built originally as a rustic treehouse, this structure was disassembled and relocated to the Creekside & thoughtfully re-constructed to offer guests a comfortable unique experience. Cook a meal or sit quietly & read in the downstairs screened in area. Occasionally a hidden train will pass by! Sit & visit around the fire pit or wade in the refreshing Sulphur Creek! Sleep like royalty upstairs in the vintage brass bed & ice cold A/C

The space
On the main level, you’ll find a fully functioning mini kitchen with refrigerator, cook top and microwave. Pots and pans, utensils, silverware, plates & bowls. Wine opener and wine glasses. This space is a screened in area and leads to an out door patio and covered porch and is equipped with fans for warmer weather and is not a heated space. A private bathroom is also on the first level and during colder months, we generally keep a space heater on to make for a more comfortable temperature while showering. External spiral staircase leads to the upper level bedroom and balcony. Weight limit on spiral staircase is a suggested 250 lbs. This space is quiet with a view of trees and Sulphur creek. Cooled efficiently with a window unit and heated to your desired temperature with an oil heater and or with the additional space heater stored under the bed with additional blankets. An outdoor shower is perfect for rinsing off after walking or playing in the creek. Firewood or a presto log can be purchased for $10. There’s a hidden train track on the other side of the creek. Set to no specific schedule but may pass once or twice during a 24 hour stay. At dark and just at the right angle, one may catch a glimpse of the conductor in his tiny lit up space racing through the dense tree cover!. Downstairs kitchen and restroom are not air conditioned. All food is suggested to be kept in the refrigerator or in your cooler.
