About this listing
Big studio flat, with its own kitchen, facing the south. Feel a true parisian atmosphere in a building from the 19th century, and a flat I decorated with my heart. Neighbours are quiet and friendly, view on a courtyard. Metro stops around the corner!
In a small and cute 19th century building, on the 4th and last floor (no elevator). Lovely view on the quiet courtyard of the building, and over the rooftops: typically Parisian.
Entrance is in the kitchen, (5m² / 6 sq yds) with all the appliances needed: glass ceramic cooktop 4 burners, refrigerator, traditional oven, micro-wave, coffee maker, cutlery and crockery... It's very bright, thanks to the skylight. It's apart from the living room (no cooking smells, yay!)
In the living room, a sofa bed (double 4.6"x6.3") and a very comfy futon (small double 4"x6.3") in a separate alcove; A flatscreen TV (32") for a movie night if it's raining or to rest after a trekking day in Paris ;) Wireless Internet, and a Wii.
Something you should know: the bathroom is not in the apartment per say, it's the door across the hall. But I'm the only owner, I have a key and I'm the only one using it. I have just one neighbor who has her own bathroom and I never see her.
I just remade it entirely last summer, it's completely new, you'll love it!
You'll have access to the whole apartment, and all the amenities.
The apartment is very quiet, bright and welcoming. I used to live there and I redone it completely.
I'm a non-smoker so the place is for non-smokers only.
Interaction with Guests
I'll be there to greet you, do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions!
The neighborhood is quiet and residential and there are many typical Parisian restaurants just around the corner. It's very convenient to go all around Paris from here!
There are two metro stops nearby: Volontaires (line 12) and Pasteur (line 6 and 12). It is twenty minute by walk from Montparnasse. It takes 15 minutes to go to the Eiffel tower, 20 minutes to the Champs-Elysées and the Arc de Triomphe, 25 minutes to Pigalle and the Moulin Rouge and Montmartre. If you're going to a concert, the Bercy venue is 30 minutes away.
Many buses nearby as well : the 39 and 62, the 70, 88 and the 89, the 95 and two night buses : N12 and N13.
I want my guests to feel at home and to fully enjoy their stay at the apartment.
I put a lot of energy into making this apartment comfortable and well decorated (I did everything myself!), so I'm asking people who stay here to be careful with the furniture and the place. Thanks!
Paul-Henri ist ein sehr netter Gastgeber. Die Wohnung ist wunderbar ruhig und hat eine tolle Lage. Danke für die gute Zeit und bis zum nächsten Mal.
Paul-Henri was so welcoming and made me feel so at home in his apartment. When I arrived, Paul-Henri helped me bring my luggage up to my apartment, showed me everything I would need in the next few months, and was so welcoming and helpful. I couldn't have hoped for a better long-term airbnb experience. In my 2.5 months at the Sunny Studio flat, I always felt very comfortable in the apartment and in the neighborhood in general. The apartment is in a very family oriented apartment building and neighborhood, and all you need is within walking distance (patisseries, groceries, two metro lines, Gare Montparnasse...everything). I would highly recommend this apartment for anyone looking for a home-y apartment in the Paris 15th :)
A cosy room at perfect location!
A really kind host I've ever met!
I had stayed for 5 days at this flat as a tourist. The best aspect of this flat is location. Almost every places that we wanted to see was easy to get from here.
Also, the stuffs that we wanted to use was prepared even a wine opener.haha.
Awesome awesome awesome stay. Everything was clean, it was close to a metro and possible to walk to the eiffel tower. Good grocery stores nearby and Paul could not have been a better, nicer host. I'd recommend this spot to anyone.
We did not have the opportunity to meet Paul but he provided great communication and was very easy to work with. Apartment is on the fourth floor located in a nice neighborhood, close to metro, bicycles and some nice place to dine out. Apartment is small but functional. The down side is the bathroom is not located inside the apartment. We stayed for 7 days and 5 of those days workmen were painting the front door and hallway directly outside the apartment. So using the bathroom involved workmen stopping work, moving their painting gear and standing there waiting while you used the bathroom or took a shower a situation my wife was not thrilled about. We literally had to knock on the door from the inside so the painters could move their stuff and we could come out for 5 days. It was uncomfortable but I think we just picked a very bad week to be there during the remodeling. Apartment is fine, Paul has a terrific DVD collection and the location is great but if you are looking for a romantic getaway in Paris this may not be what you are looking for. If you are looking for a reasonably prices place centrally located to explore Paris go for it.
Absolutely perfect apartment! Paul-Henri is lovely, very welcoming and accommodating and gives great tips about what the area! The apartment itself was clean, well organised and the perfect size. It'd do well for one to two people for a short trip or a long stay. The area is relatively central, near two metro lines and lovely, with a bit more of a family vibe than other parts of Paris. It is a lovely walk from the Eiffel Tower, Les Invalides and other attractions. It is incredibly homely, with everything you could need, near a bi-weekly market and plenty of supermarkets as well as some nice bars. If this is available next time I am in Paris, I'll be staying here again!
Paul-Henri's place is really typical of parisian apartments, everything stated in his description is accurate, the small bathroom is in the hallway and clean, the futon bed makes you feel like in a nest and it's always interesting to sit down and pick one of the many books there.
What I liked is how quiet it is, you can't hear a sound, great to sleep and nap.
Paul-Henri is easily reachable and replies promptly.
It was a good experience and I recommand it.
