You'll truly feel like visiting royalty in this fancifully appointed bedchamber. After a fragrant soak in your claw foot tub, a plush foam mattress, linen sheets and enveloping colors will transport you to a vivid dreamland. Coffee and tea are available early morning on the landing while breakfast is served at a reasonable hour downstairs in the morning room. We look forward to welcoming you to the Catalpa House in historic Rensselaerville.

The space
Located in the center of the historic hamlet of Rensselaerville, the Catalpa House dates from 1806 and boasts a long history of hospitality, operating as a boarding house continuously from the 1920's to 70's. Lovingly refurbished with vintage fixtures to maintain the historic charm, fresh updates feature designer wallpaper and enveloping colors to evoke a modern Shangri-La. It is our pleasure to open our home to travelers looking for a restful retreat as well as the friends' and family of our own colorful community.
