Located in the foothills of the Olympics and set on 10 acres of pasture and forest, the Art Studio is the perfect base to launch your adventures. Bright artsy studio is near Hurricane Ridge, Lake Crescent, & hiking trails, and 10 minutes from the National Park Information Center, downtown Port Angeles restaurants and shops , and the Victoria Ferry. Due to COVID-19, we block off an additional day prior and following each guest visit and take extra care to disinfect and clean for your safety.

The space
The artistically decorated studio, with cedar paneling, a sky light, and hand laid tile can sleep 2 with a comfortable queen bed downstairs and a double futon in the loft. It is ideal for a couple, two friends, or two adults with children. The kitchenette is equipped with a small refrigerator, hotplate, pots, pans, utensils, microwave, and coffee maker along with local organic coffee and tea, half & half, and a fresh treat upon arrival. You have everything you need to make a simple meal. The loft is up a narrow stairway and you have to get on hands and knees to enter the low opening. See photo. The ceiling clearance angles downward from 6'4" to 3'4" (so tall folks beware.) WIFI is available. There is a small private patio off to the east and a tiny front porch area perfect for sipping your morning coffee or enjoying a glass of wine in the evening. You will also have access to a large grassy pasture to the west with a picnic table surrounded by maple and fir trees. A nice spot to take in the pastoral sunset or play a game or two of bocci ball (we provide). The Guest Studio is adjacent to the owners own art studio and small garage area, but we do not use these spaces when we have guests. Our home sits on the property to the east of the Art Studio. There is a barrier of bamboo fence and landscaping to insure privacy from the main house, but it is not secluded.

Where you’ll be

Port Angeles, Washington, United States

We live in a rural area with pastures and horses. The roads have wide shoulders and are lovely for walking. A bit steep for biking, but some folks do!
