Outside the vatican and very accessible by tram service, the place was exactly as it was in the photos, brilliant. The place was quit and had good cafes near by. Would recommend a restaurant called papettos, was the highlight of the trip.
My sisters and I had a fantastic stay at Emiliano's! We loved coming home to a quiet apartment away from the hordes of tourists. The apartment was very spacious, clean, and fully equipped. The tram is right across the street and takes you to Piazza Venezia, dropping you off right in front of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. From there you are able to walk to the Colosseum, Forum, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona and a great shopping area. Emiliano was very easy to deal with and made our late night arrival hassle-free. I would definitely recommend!
Emiliano was a great host! He met us at the building to lead us towards the apartment and was available to any questions we had during our stay. The apartment was well located as the tram was across the street and you can take it directly to the Trastevere centre and to Piazza Venezia which is close to all sightseeing. Overall we enjoyed our stay! Grazie mille Emiliano!
We just loved our one week stay in Trastevere at Stefano’s place!
The booking and the conversation with Emiliano (the flat agent) a couple of weeks before the start of our vacation were easy and he was very helpful with directions from the airport.
Emiliano informed us days before that not he but the owner Stefano will welcome us at our arrival.
Arrival was on a Saturday afternoon, and when we reached the address, Stefano already welcomed us from the balcony; he was very kind and friendly and stayed about half an hour to show us his flat.
When we looked for flats in Rome on airbnb, we chose to stay in Trastevere with intention. A friend of us who is familiar with Rome recommended this neighborhood because it is more relaxed and has a more typical residential atmosphere than staying right at the hot spots downtown. We knew before that we would have to take the tram but the station is directly in front of the house, and tram no. 8 brings you directly to Piazza Venezia which is very convenient. The biggest city park is just 5 minutes away, so if you want to rest a bit or do some running or fitness or just walk with your family, it’s great. To the Vatican it’s also convenient, take the tram no.8 to Trastevere and from there a train, next stop is St.Pietro.
A little supermarket is just 2 minutes away, and we had the nicest small chats with the sales people there asking for wine, cheese and cut recommendations. A bigger supermarket is also around, so shopping for food and basics is absolutely no big deal.
Unfortunately we had some problems with the Internet connection. Already in vacation mood at arrival we didn’t check immediately but noticed later that the Internet connection wasn’t working although we tried everything to make it work. With Stefano and Emiliano we had two contact persons, which was very good, and we addressed the problem quickly to them. But it took until Tuesday morning when a technician from the provider finally arrived and tried to fix the problem, but wasn’t successful. So we had absolutely no connection until Wednesday night, when Emiliano came around and gave us a little WebCube device that worked just perfectly.
That was really the only downside during this week, as we totally relied on the connection to inform ourselves while we stayed there.
We just wished the solution to give us a replacement with the WebCube would have been done much earlier but generally both Emiliano and Stefano are great hosts and available all the time!
So all in all we had a wonderful time here, the flat is great, the balconies are lovely, everything is very clean, new and modern.
Thank you very much for letting us stay at your place, and we hope that this will not be our last stay in Rome. We would love to book this flat again.
We were very pleased with our stay almost 1 week in the apartment. This has lots of light and space. More than enough for 4 people. We found it very clean and Emiliano received us with fresh fruit and a drink. The apartment is not really near to the center, as we thought, so we needed to use the metro or to take the bus to arrive to the city center and/or Vatican city. However, the neighborhood is very quiet and here you can feel the proper Roma. Just around the corner we frequently visited a nice restaurant Roman food where tourists do not come. His name was Cesar and it is worth a visit. In conclusion, the apartment was very good, despite the distance and Emiliano was also very friendly during our stay.
We stayed a week at the apartment. The neighborhood is great, with a friendly local feel. The street train stops right in front of the apartment, which is really convenient. From the street train it's pretty easy to get connections for the trains, or to just go till the end of the line downtown.
There's a park that's great for running or for letting the kids play that's just a few blocks away, and a great daily local market a stop away on the street train. Lots of nearby pizza by the kilo.
One of the days during our stay, the wind was strong enough that we had a couple hours when we were unable to keep the outside water heater burner lit.
The rest of the time everything went really smoothly! The WiFi worked really well. The sofa couch is really easy to pull out. The apartment has a clean & new feel. And Emiliano is a very approachable and professional host.
