My apartment is located in 20 minutes walking distance to the following places:
- Schuman station (European Commission/European Council)
- Place Luxembourg (European Parliament)
- Place Flagey
- Parc du Cinquantenaire
It is a 105 sqm apartment on two floors.
On the first floor there is the kitchen and dining area (including a guest bathroom) which are open to the living room and the huge south faced terrace (where you have plenty of sunshine...if there is sunshine in Belgium).
On the second floor (under the roof) there are two bedrooms, of which one is my bedroom, plenty of storage for clothes and a big bathroom with a bathtub. The bathroom will be shared by you and me.
The whole apartment can be used by you (when I am around or not). I have to cats who are very friendly and who really appreciate people living with them. So, you should not be afraid of cats or allergic if you want to stay in my flat.
The neighbourhood offers plenty of shops, public transport: Tram 81 (going to Gare du Midi/Montgomery); Bus 34 (going to Porte de Namur); Bus 36 (going to Schuman where you can catch the Bus 12 to the airport).
You do not need to bring any towels or bedlinen. I will provide this to you. Your room will be the one with the purple wall shown on one of the pics. There is one newly bought real bed (Futon mattress of 1,40 m).
I am looking forward to your stay and can offer you showing you around a bit (to nice restaurants, bars, clubs). In any case, I will be always available for advice during your stay.
Hope to see you soon
You should be a cat lover or at least get along well with cats. They are very cute and very special :)
There are no particular house rules. Just feel at home and comfortable, and do not do anything you wouldn't do in your place.
When you use the wifi, please use it in a moderate way. I only have a limited amount of data per month available. Exceeding it to the max would increase my bill enormously.
I would also kindly ask to switch off the heating and the lights while you are not at home.
Ulrike is a great host and a very friendly person. The bed was very comfortable while the two cats made me feel being home. The location is perfect for those liking to walk (to the EU institutions) but also is well connected by the public transport. It was just a perfect stay. Recommended for sure!
I had a wonderful stay at Ulrike's apartment! She (and her two cats) were lovely hosts and made me feel welcome for my entire month-long stay. The apartment is large and sunny, and, as other reviewers have noted, very well-situated in terms of connections to public transportation. There are numerous restaurants nearby, especially in Place Jourdan, and I had a great running route that took me through the Parc du Cinquantenaire. All in all, I was very comfortable at Ulrike's and can highly recommend it!
The reservation was canceled 17 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Ulrike's apartment is great! Stayed at Ulrikes for about a month and it was perfect for me. She is such a lovely host..really friendly and helpful. The apartment is in a great location - lots of bus and tram routes and not short on restaurants and shops nearby. The apartment is huge and kept clean and the bedroom is cute. Ulrike had left lots of wardrobe space outside the bedroom which was great for me. The terrace is great for relaxing in the sunny evenings too.
All in all a perfect host and an Airbnb apartment!
Ulrike was a wonderful host! Her apartment was lovely and clean, and looked exactly like the pictures. Her two cats were wonderful as well, and were always ready to say hello when I came back to the apartment at the end of the day (or at least to blink sleepily at me...).
It was great staying with Ulrike and her two charming cats. She is very friendly and helpful and I can recommend to stay with her if you are going to Brussels. The place is also perfectly situated for transport connections to nice areas such as Place Flagey and St. Gilles. I would be very happy to stay with her again.
I am from Berlin currently living in Brussels.
I love Brussels for many reasons. As I love travelling, one major reason to like Brussels is because it is perfectly situated. By train I can reach London in 1,30 hours, Paris in 1,20 hours, Amsterdam in 2 hours. Going back home to Berlin only takes 1 hour flight time.
Another reason is that you get in contact with people so easily that establishing friendships is not a big problem.
