Great location in a vibrant neighborhood and within walking distance to the terrific restaurants at Half Mile North and to the lovely Hampton Park.

The whole trip could not have been smoother. Matt and Dana thought of everything! The house looks exactly like it does in the photos, which is to say like out of a design magazine. The best part for my companion and me was the bikes that Matt and Dana lent us. They made it super-easy to get around Charleston: no hassle, no rental car. I would highly recommend Matt and Dana as hosts.

This was a wonderful place to be to explore Charleston. Lots of terrific recommendations from them about food, shopping, and seeing the sites. They made it very comfortable and easy to share their home. And, Lola the adorable beagle mix and Leonardo the cat were excellent companions and hosts as well. Be sure to enjoy the porch swing with a glass of wine (or two)!

Matt & Dana's place in a really great upcoming area. We loved the charm of the neighborhood, and all the breweries nearby. Great place to stay in Charleston if you don't want to be to close to tourists!

This is the cutest place to stay. It's so nicely decorated, exceptionally clean and conveniently located. They provide bicycles which is awesome too. Lola, their dog, is a sweetheart.

Matt & Dana User Profile

Hey everyone!

We're Matt and Dana, a couple in our early 30's. Matt is a native of Raleigh, NC ( he's also lived in Ann Arbor, Michigan & Melbourne, Australia) and Dana's from Philadelphia, PA. We both enjoy traveling and adventures off the beaten path. We're pretty active and are out exploring frequently; we know the city well and are happy to provide recommendations for anything you'd want to do here.

If we're not in the house, you'll find us either working on the back yard and playing with the dogs, Matt restoring old cars in the garage, fishing, at the beach, checking out live music, or trying out one of Charleston's great restaurants.

You can expect a laid back, casual, and homey atmosphere in our house - it's not a museum, there aren't labels on things, it's just your home away from home while traveling. Come and go as you please, put your beer or leftovers in the fridge, and join us and our friends hanging on the front porch!
