Come stay at our historic Charleston bungalow. Built in 1935 in Charleston's Downtown North Central district located just off of King St., our home is within walking distance or short bike ride of Moe's Crosstown Tavern, Santi's, The Tattooed Moose, and beautiful Hampton Park. It's a scant one and a half mile jaunt to all of the eating, drinking, and shopping that King St. has to offer and is 3 miles from The Battery. The neighborhood is now one of Charleston's up and coming historic downtown areas with many homes being renovated and restored. It's possible to walk downtown but using our bikes to get there is much easier.
More than just proximity to the local haunts, we can offer you the following hospitality:

We're Matt and Allison, a fun, open-minded and active married couple in our mid-20's who are lifelong residents of the Carolinas. Awesome first experience and stay with Airbnb. Getting into the house was simple and easy as Matt provided everything we needed and then some. He gave great advice about the area such as where to eat, sites to see, bars to hit, etc. The bikes were perfect for exploring Charleston and made it that much easier to see just about everything in one day. The neighborhood was pretty quiet and still close to the downtown King Street area. Would definitely stay again!
Beautiful place with a relaxed airy vibe. We loved having the bikes to get around town and explore different neighborhoods - an ideal way to see Charleston! We had the place to ourselves - well, us the cute dogs - but Matt and Allison were really helpful with sorting out all the logistics of our trip. Definitely recommended!
I had a great stay with Allison and Matt. Didn't see either of them very much as our schedules didn't overlap. But the house and room were clean and comfortable and the 2 dogs were friendly and relaxed. And I really appreciated the convenience of having access to a bike to get me to/from the conference hosted in the Marion Hotel. I'll definitely look them up again the next time I come to Charleston.
Matt and I unfortunately did not have a chance to meet during my stay at his home, but he was a trusting and courteous host. The house is exactly what I expected and I would stay there again. Thanks Matt!
Spent one week. Had a small issue with dogs that was quickly resolved. Overall experience good
The house is cute, nicely decorated, and very convenient to downtown. Matt and Allison were on vacation for most of our visit, but they provided excellent instructions, and our stay couldn’t have been easier. When we finally did meet, we found them very welcoming and enjoyed chatting with them. Their dogs are beagle-mixes and very sweet.
It was my first time in Charleston, it was perfect! Matt was a great host. The bikes were the best way to see the city during the day! The dogs were really sweet. Thanks Matt and Allison!
My stay with Matt and Allison was beyond awesome. When we arrived they were out for the weekend, but Matt was very prompt in providing instructions to get in. The room and the house is great, but Matt and Allison are the real reason you should stay here. Friendly, funny and interesting, they are willing to chat when you are, and also go about their lives while you're doing whatever it is you have to! I had a great time here with my husband, and I miss it already.
Matt and Allison were welcoming and hospitable guests. Their home was a great base for my weekend in Charleston. A good choice for those visiting the city with a car or exploring by bicycle.
My boyfriend and I had an amazing time in Charleston thanks to Matt and Allison, and their adorable dogs! They were very flexible with scheduling and had great tips to share regarding local sights and good eats. The room was very cozy and comfortable, and the house itself is beautifully decorated. We were also able to take the bikes out for an afternoon trip. Overall, this is a fantastic place to stay!
